It's a Fiesta; the only beast waiting to be unleashed is a slightly hyperactive Jack Russell.

What have your neighbours done to you that warrants being woken each and every time you decide to nip out in your car? Show us on the doll where they touched you. Don't be embarassed, you're amongst understanding adults.

Easy to spot those adults who live with their parents and drive a car.

They try to over compensate..

It already sounds great with the muffler delete when underload but idling is to quite, I want it to wake up the neighbours with the press of the start button. I was thinking if I had the resonator deleted I could unleash the beast!
Yes I’m still Iiving with my parents,I’m only 18??
Goodness, I really hope you are joking! Your poor neighbours (and parents).

Got a moron local to me with a late Fiesta with very little silencing. Loves to rev the nuts off it as well & sounds crap. Pisses all the neighbours off.

It would appear he's not sure if he lives at home or if he's 18 hence the 2 question marks.

The rear muffler ( included for the missersble s on this thread ) has been sleeved. Many TVR owners do the same. My Chimera had been by the previous owner and sails through an MOT.
Big difference between TVR and a Fiesta though. I'm pretty sure you didn't do it just to ps off your neighbours either. They will be the really miserable ones.

Whats the difference though?

A TVR owner might prefer the sound after its done and so might a Fiesta owner. You might also find that some dislike the sound of both.

Whilst both might be obnoxious when done, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone that is objectively going to say the four cylinder engine is going to sound nice with a straight through exhaust. Very loud, but not nice. The post actually confirms that it is all about waking up the neighbours rather than making a nice noise.

A straight six or a V8 with a straight pipe is more likely to appeal to more, albeit not everyone of course. It is also less likely to be used as a daily.

Its all subjective, but I think most on here would quite like to hear a straight through exhaust on a Chimera. Even owners of 'loud exhausted' four pots get fed up of the racket eventually.

What is it with fast fords and nobs, I can’t remeber the last time I saw a standard fiesta st, all seem to be modified going flat out through busy highstreets, or atleast revving first gear and letting it pop, causing loud bangs.

Where do they get the impression that it’s cool?

Im sure both types of owners would think that their car sounds nicer. Thats why they would have done it. A straight six or v8 will appeal to a lot of petrol heads (me included) more so than a 4, but it will also most likely be louder so will likely annoy more locals when it is used, more so if its a weekend toy and the owner goes out early.

To be fair, my neighbour has one that is still stock and driven sensibly

I'm looking for the delete option for 18 year old tts with straight through exhausts. Anyone got one?
