The first couple of inappropriate cars were kinda funny, but it's just boring now and represents more ste for Harry to wade through to get to the good stuff.

Hey Harry,
There's always my sensible 4x4 - which you've seen in the flesh - it has already been to the Alps in winter with two kids in the back, and it has a big boot.
Of course, you'll need ear defenders (as the 566bhp engine can be a tad throaty), and I'll remove the roll cage and track day slicks if you're feeling a little unmanly....
As one's ears would be bleeding by Dover, we now use the family Espace with winter wheels/ tyres on and laugh at the summer tyred RR/ Jeep/ X5s buried in the snow banks as we go by.
Very jealous, enjoy the 3 months and watch your knee!

He has the use of a quality Espace when he wants it. Left hooker, French local Reg.There's always my sensible 4x4 - which you've seen in the flesh - it has already been to the Alps in winter with two kids in the back, and it has a big boot.

It just doesn't have the Flashman look if I'm honest, I think the last time he was in it/near it he hid his face to avoid being seen.

A beret, a Gauloise, and a complete disregard for the laws of physics on snowy mountain roads and he'd pass for a local...It just doesn't have the Flashman look if I'm honest, I think the last time he was in it/near it he hid his face to avoid being seen.
I’ve always wanted to own an Amg CLS63, even if just for a short while, so am offering my Escort mk1. Fitted with a cosworth yb of 340 bhp, it’s the perfect car.....
Ok it has some traction issues and will wheelspin in third gear. And being a two seater isn’t the best for a ski trip with the familly. Heater isn’t the best either...
On the plus side, you’ll find it in a car park as it’s unlikely there’s another one in a ski park.

Apart from the inflated arches and extra vents on the front that makes a damn fine sleeper - gets my vote Harry........Ok it has some traction issues and will wheelspin in third gear. And being a two seater isn’t the best for a ski trip with the familly. Heater isn’t the best either...

Apologies for not checking in on this - had a day of working hard: ironic, given that I leaving the company! Leave on a high note etc...
This thread is showing some seriously nice metal! The Fiat 500, Mk1 Escort are simply gorgeous. And FBP1, you know I love your P1. I will be troubling you for a drive when I get back...
To LDN and OscarIndia, you chaps are being so kind for your offers of cars already out there. If this thread doesn't work, I will absolutely say yes, and will buy you a very, very nice dinner out there or back here to say thank you. The generosity of fellow PHers never fails to astound me.
In the meantime, I hope everyone is liking this thread as much as I am - really cheers me up. I shall see what happens over the weekend and start sending a few PMs to some of the guys who seem up for the car swap.
In the meantime, this is what you win: PH's own reviews of the very car that I am up for lending to someone:

Mr Flashman Sir, that is one fine motor car.
As an aside, having re-read that review, I miss Monkey on P/H. That’s a great writeup, nothing like some of the tosh that tries to pass itself of as journalism we’ve had on here lately.
Grumpy mode off....

There probably is, but those Range Rovers have been out of production for six years already
Not an issue. It's a Webasto fuel heater and you just need to upgrade the control unit to a Thermo Call one. Any Webasto dealer should be able to do this.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
