Anyone know of one which spent a considerable amount of time in Northern Ireland?
In the 90s, Charles Hurst had one on display in their Jaguar showroom, don't know if it was a customer car or actually for sale though. Think it was silver, but don't know any more than that, I'm afraid.
Dad took me to see that car on boucher, left a lasting impression.
Reason I ask is that a customer of mine was rumoured to have one, that he never drove, but lost it in the "crash".
He also confirmed that he had it, but i never saw it with my own eyes, unlike another customers F40 which i did "see".
Looked like it was doing 100 even when it wasnt moving.

The race engine in the XJ220 would allow sustained high speed use. I suspect most tuned engines such as 4 pot turbo's making 500hp would not last long for sustained high speed use.
This ^^^. All the internet bks about modified hatchbacks making 500-600bhp "reliably" with aftermarket tuning are bks of the highest order. There is great cognitive dissonance within the threads describing how it's "good for" X bhp followed by posts about how it shat itself after half a day on the track too!
Being fair to Dangerous Dave, it shouldn't make any difference if you never use the well wicked part of the shiny new map. Although, I always wonder where the extra heat goes. The front of an XJ-220 has a big radiator with nothing behind it to impede air flow, a Veyron has three for the engine, what do remapped VAG have?
