Interesting - they say they will send payment to you after you have accepted their quotation but that might be before they have received your wheels. Sounds open to abuse. Think I would rather get the wheels in first then pay out and adjust the terms accordingly.
It can go the other way then of course as the definition of what constitutes a buckle in an alloy wheel is very subjective and minor buckles are very hard to spot but they might have equipment that senses the slightest deviation and dock your money accordingly..

good and/or rare sought after alloys will always find a good home for a fair price. here if you pay at least £40 to ship a set of 4 to WBAA it doesnt sound worth it to me.
regular common or garden run of the mill alloys youre gonna get a pittance and youre paying for shipping too if you dont drop then off in person. ideal fodder for a quick sale via Shpock or Gumtree.or similar (not ebay their final value fees now are a pee take unles you shift them on a special offer).

Thanks all. Must admit I didn't dig terribly far into it myself, not the most polished website certainly but I've seen far worse. It is an interesting concept though. I did send them a request for a quote as well but no response yet.
The alloys in question are Jaguar "Cremona" style wheels, as fitted to XKR Portfolio special edition cars and a few other models. I thought they'd have moved fairly quickly on Jaguar forums etc. but no joy yet, I've priced them to sell (based on the sort of money I paid for them and what they go for on eBay) but no bites yet.
I did wonder how companies that do refurb and exchange wheels source their stock, had a look at a few of their websites but nothing there to indicate they buy in wheels from the public. I have them on Gumtree, Facebook market and a couple of Jaguar specific forums, apart from eBay is there anywhere else that's a good shout for moving them on?

He straight swapped some BBS RS 3 piece split rims for a refurbished set of Teledials.

When selling car stuff, I find that fro early spring it starts to pick up nicely.
If you're not desperate for the cash / space, I'd try again in 2 months.
