Anyone used this lot? I've got a set of wheels from my last car I have had no luck selling elsewhere yet, found this site on a search today and wondering if anyone's used them.

Seems like a bedroom operation.

Interesting concept though.

Interesting - they say they will send payment to you after you have accepted their quotation but that might be before they have received your wheels. Sounds open to abuse. Think I would rather get the wheels in first then pay out and adjust the terms accordingly.

It can go the other way then of course as the definition of what constitutes a buckle in an alloy wheel is very subjective and minor buckles are very hard to spot but they might have equipment that senses the slightest deviation and dock your money accordingly..

They seem to either be naive or scammers, hard to tell which it is. This matter of paying the seller before the wheels have been received, or even sent off to them, let alone inspected... smelling something here.

“Payment will be send straight to you”

Anyone that has that error on the front page of their website needs to be given a wide berth

good and/or rare sought after alloys will always find a good home for a fair price. here if you pay at least £40 to ship a set of 4 to WBAA it doesnt sound worth it to me.

regular common or garden run of the mill alloys youre gonna get a pittance and youre paying for shipping too if you dont drop then off in person. ideal fodder for a quick sale via Shpock or Gumtree.or similar (not ebay their final value fees now are a pee take unles you shift them on a special offer).

Cheapo Wordpress site, no analytics or anything, pictures of scantily clad women and bad reviews on their Facebook page... I don't seen millionairedom in their future

Although they're top on google for 'sell alloy wheels' so what the fk do I know apparently

Would you trust a website with no contact telephone nor address to be found anywhere?

^ £1 per Kilo so about a tenner a wheel, reasonable for a bent piece of junk.

I suspect they are hoping that now an again someone with some £1,000 wheels will accept £100...

You mean like Mike Brewer did when he swapped a genuine set of 'Advan RGs' off a Skyline for some cheap replica wheels thinking he got a great deal:

Thanks all. Must admit I didn't dig terribly far into it myself, not the most polished website certainly but I've seen far worse. It is an interesting concept though. I did send them a request for a quote as well but no response yet.

The alloys in question are Jaguar "Cremona" style wheels, as fitted to XKR Portfolio special edition cars and a few other models. I thought they'd have moved fairly quickly on Jaguar forums etc. but no joy yet, I've priced them to sell (based on the sort of money I paid for them and what they go for on eBay) but no bites yet.

I did wonder how companies that do refurb and exchange wheels source their stock, had a look at a few of their websites but nothing there to indicate they buy in wheels from the public. I have them on Gumtree, Facebook market and a couple of Jaguar specific forums, apart from eBay is there anywhere else that's a good shout for moving them on?

Similar when he did a Porsche 928.

He straight swapped some BBS RS 3 piece split rims for a refurbished set of Teledials.

Maybe timing more than anything.
December people's time and money is all about Christmas.
Jan is always about being skint.
When selling car stuff, I find that fro early spring it starts to pick up nicely.

If you're not desperate for the cash / space, I'd try again in 2 months.

Mine came through today - £400 for 4x 20" bare alloys. Better than I'd expected to be honest, but still a bit short of what i was hoping for. Will give it some thought the new couple of days or so.

Haha yes exactly like that, The Jap Performance parts chap must have had a hard time not laughing at that "deal."

Mike Brewer has form for this kind of thing, when restoring the Porsche 928 he paid money to swap some 3 piece BBS RS alloys worth £1500+ for some Porsche Teledials worth around 200 - 300ish

Don't forget swapping genuine Escort Cosworth wheels for Sapphire Cosworth lattice wheels.
