In other news my Caterham is a magnet for car damage that I’ve not experienced with any other car. It has now been driven into 3 times in 18 months (woops, actually 4 when I gently nudged the rear number plate when reversing last year hehe ). And someone has dropped something on the bonnet or they attempted to stand on it before they realised it won’t support their weight.

The damage has been mostly cosmetic but very frustrating. At least the cost repair is low given it’s like a big mecano set!
That would annoy me immensely, when building one, i put a tiny ding in the left bodywork when the rivet gun slipped, really pissed me off and drew my eye every time i looked at it.

Been commuting in to North London for a couple of weeks, my god the speed humps and road quality is shocking, the box took quite a beating but handled it surprisingly well.

looking forward to spring and some track days.

Evening, hope all are safe and well in this continually infuriating time.

The SL, wrenched from its neglected and unintended lengthy slumber now has a fresh MOT and (I’ve been told) runs perfectly.
I am pleased with this.

One thing the garage is unable to fix though is the hood that I unwittingly allowed to get a bit damp (don’t put a car cover over a convertible over winter) and I accidentally poked my fingers through a strap that was definitely more solid before hibernation.

Does anyone know of a good soft top specialist by any chance? Experience with R129s a definite plus.

Many thanks and and I like the country white 964 boxedin

Never owned or driven one, but this thread would seem to be a good point to start for tips on rebuilding (and a source of 3D printed spares). smile
