I don't think there's anything to say they won't do one, it's only been on sale for a few months. I've just ordered a manual 2.0d and they haven't even started building those until September.

It almost certainly wouldn't fit. The 3.0SC V6 has a 90 degree cylinder bank in common with the V8 on which it's based. I'd pretty much guarantee that it wouldn't fit in a transverse engine bay. Add to that the fact it's ending production next year and that rules that one out.
The new Ingenium I6 would almost certainly be too long to fit transversely. The new Evoque is still related to the L359 Freelander 2. While that was available for a short while with the Volvo 3.2 SI6, its a red herring. The Volvo six was specifically designed to be as short as possible for transverse installation, which I can pretty much guarantee the Ingenium won't have been.
JLR also wouldn't be able to justify the substantial re-engineering that it would take for what would amount to a negligible number of sales (compared to the bread-and-butter 2.0 4cyl models.
