Welcome to a new thread everyone!

I really want a green six cylinder w124 saloon again. This keeps coming up. I wish it was significantly cheaper! https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1088209

6k!! am I missing something these passed couple of months like Derin was saying about standard bmw e30 prices or something?
Yes Ian, it definitely seems like a runaway train these past few months. I think the reality however maybe that all of these speculative prices don't yiled sales at anything like their initial asking prices. However, over a longer period the do serve to subliminally set the bar higher.

So...if someone waded in with £4K on that green W124 they may take it but instant the bar has been reset becuase really it should haven't been £3K a few months ago.

Last night I saw an E30 318is advertised. I think they're great fun little cars having driven a couple years ago. I think at around £2.5K they were probably a bit of a bargain relatively. I would have set their value at more like £4k for a good one with reasonable mileage.

The one I saw last night, accompanied by a plethora of nauseating, superfluous hyperbole?.......£18,000!

WTF!

This Jaaaag was shown in the last volume.
What would the mpg be like on a motorway? 90% of my driving is on the motorway so if it's around 27ish then an xj40 could be a suitable prospect.
Also, does anyone know where I could get a sheepskin coat from? :-)

I was baffled by that for the e30 when there are convertibles for 4.5k and tidy ones at that

Will this be the volume that finally tempts me back into a barge? Hope so.
My problem is that there are many barges I want but I have no desire to sell any of the cars I have and for money/domestic harmony reasons I am not in a position to simply accumulate more cars.

My wife has a 9-3 estate, and even with a V6 I'm not sure it would be bargey - too small, no rear leg room.

Naaaw, don't be daft! How about this for a bargain? Nearly 7k. And it's in Greece.

Real shame, it's an icon of a car.

Anyone that can resurrect this is a alchemist/genius or a educationally-challenged Euromillions winner.

It'll go for parts of course. Glass especially will be irreplaceable I'd have thought.

We're really starting this volume off with some belters, eh? wink

(Frankly, I don't think I'm going to buy anything for a while until this current nonsense sorts itself out. There are far better, newer cars and for less money than some of the ste that we used to be interested in being held up by jokers.)

Yes, "And it'll make a nice car when it's finished."

So when you've spent £20K resurrecting that pile scrap those words will be ringing in your ears and will you be thinking "Wow! This is a nice now that it's finished."? scratchchin
