Been loitering on the forums for years now, always meant to do a build thread of my wagon but have never got round to it.

Won’t be to everyone’s taste, I’m sure, but here’s my 2018 Golf R (7.5) estate. Bought to replace an S3 Sportback for financial and space reasons when we became parents-to-be, it’s fast become an all-consuming project for me. I think I’m pretty much finished now. THINK…

It’s currently at about 500hp and 600Nm, with appropriate suspension and brake upgrades. And still our daily family bus!

Very nice indeed. Looks fairly normal for something that mentalist.

335i with the MPerformance exhaust......difficult to think how to replace it, ticks so many boxes for the money. Straight 6 rasp, rwd, decent mpg, dont understand why so few 6cyl petrol F31's were sold.

Holy lurking Batman!

A mix of tax, purchase cost and insurance I guess, but it's true there arent many around. Lovely looking thing.

Lurkers paradise today! Good show (even if one of them isn't quite an estate!)

Last Sunday a 535i of that age pulled out of a side junction and the exhaust sounded great - just like the traditional n/a BMW I6's that used to be all around.

Turbo's usually kill exhaust noise. Don't know how they do it but it's great.

A mate of mine's about to buy a 135i with the same zorst as yours. Looking forward to seeing/hearing that.

Very nice. I spend an unhealthy amount of time looking 'for sale ads' of Subaru Legacy / Outbacks of that era. Perfect under-the-radar estates.
I spent 2 years with a 2005 GT wagon and a further 4 years with a 2013 GT wagon and can confirm they are marvellously capable, moreso than the numbers suggest, and immensely satisfying to own. Good to read about this one thumbup
