Hi All, In Vegas for a conference, I have some time on Friday, have decided to hire either a GT3 RS or Mclaren 570S for some fun.

Challenge is I'm having a hard time deciding which! Leaning towards the GT3 RS (that engine)but would be happy with either!

Help!

A Vegas rental? Unless its from one of the big outfits like Hertz etc I'd save your money. I've watched enough of SuperSpeedersRob's vids online to put me off ever renting anything remotely interesting from a Vegas outfit.

If it is from one of the national companies, I'd go with the GT3, simply based on the horrendous reliability of the McLarens.

Wouldn’t you rent this type of car in a place where the roads aren’t straight?

...head off towards the Grand Canyon for some of the most beautiful non-straight roads you'll ever drive along.

I'd go for the McLaren myself. Just one of those cars you'll prob never get a chance to drive again.

Get a hellcat.

I rented one in Dubai back in September and it was absolutely mental.

In the USA you NEED to rent a big mental yank car, anything else is just not the way to enjoy the RedWhite&Blue experience.

this'd be my choice - however I can fully understand it might not work for everyone. I'd go for the McLaren, to me it just seems more 'special'

Something obnoxious and American over those two any day of the week. ZR1, Hellcat, that sort of thing. Sod the capable but soulless European guff.

Surprised no one has suggested coke and a stripper but there you go.
I’m not recommending it.

California and Nevada have some of the best driving roads in the world. Go to the right places and you won't see straights for ages.

Dropping down into New Mexico is fun, the Police seem nicer if you have a GB licence and "infringe" off the Interstate.

(Remember to look behind you....the dust plume helps them see you coming smile...oops)

I drove over from Lone Pine to Sequoia, I had to stop for a rest following mile after mile of going from one lock to the other with no straights in between! biggrin
