Aviva motor trade policy, £40K car stolen off forecourt overnight, discovered at 8:30 am. Notified them at 9am, all documents scanned and emailed to them at 10:30. Telephone call at 11 to discuss value, price agreed. Money in account at 3:30pm by chaps transfer.
I have no idea what a chaps transfer is but it sounds terrific!
It's how gentleman pay each other.

Whiplash and soreness laugh bloody hell, how much did she get for that?
Nothing, no third party to claim from, you can't claim for injuries from your own insurers. Although some do include cover for loss of limb etc .... your passengers can ...

A bloke pops over on a motorbike with a briefcase full of cash.
It'd have to be a smokey old Jaaaaaaag I reckon.

and he'd have a stload of cash in a briefcase, but not quite the right amount and ask if you had a fiver to save him breaking into any more notes.

Admiral when woman rear ended my ignis. Car was written off over the phone didn't even want to come assess it. Got to keep the car for free. £1700 payout for the car and a additional £1000 to make sure I didn't claim for any injuries further down the line.
Only paid 500 for the car a few months previous

Woman was also with admiral which I think helped. Reported it at 8:30am and it was settled and paid out by 11am.

Beats my reported at 9am, paid out by 3:30pm. Maybe I should go back to them and launch a complaint about the slow service.

I think it was a massive help the woman was insured with same company. Straight forward shunt from behind & woman did the right thing and fessed up didn't dispute claim

I claimed on travel insurance with Aviva in 2018 for a holiday that we had to cancel a week before travel. We had to cancel due to a close family member being taken ill. I sent the confirmation of cancellation via email whilst on the call to the claims dept and they transferred the money into my account whilst I was still on the phone. Whole thing took less than 20minutes.

The only car related claim I’ve had took 3 weeks because it took a bit of back and fore to agree on the value of the car.

I think we have our winner.
