Quite like it.
Fords are starting to look ok again, after a horrible run.

Looks pretty decent. Not sure why they called it a Mustang though. The Mustang I drove in Colorado a few years ago was an utter turd of a vehicle; the most gutless, low quality, piece of cr*p I've ever got behind the wheel of. Total marketing fail IMO.

Rivian is the only EV I really want. Saw a launch video on it ages ago and it's utterly brilliant.

It's called marketing. And by all accounts it's marketing that's working, as far more people are talking about it than if it had been called a Cougar or a Granada or something else.

In my mind it shows ford's commitment to the Mach-E and EV platform. Mustang must be Fords most well known global car model and to commit it to a new EV SUV implies this is a big project for them

If you're on this thread and moaning about the Mustang name, you would do well to listen to Mike and Dave, here.

Let's keep in mind some fundamental points:

. . . a) Total sales of Mustang are less than one-half of one percent of all new vehicle sales in the US; add to this figure the sales of Camaro and Challenger -- and you have a market segment that is tiny

. . . b) The crossover vehicle segment, including vehicles similar to the Mustang Mach-E, exceeds 40 percent of all US sales; this is crossover only and does not include SUVs and pickup trucks

. . . c) Ford Motor Company is struggling to remain profitable; its debt has been downrated to junk status

When you complain about the name, Mustang Mach-E, you are declaring that you probably have limited understanding of markets and how companies must leverage brands to create value for customers.

All of which presupposes the ‘Stang brand is something people want to ‘buy into’. I’m not convinced it is. I don’t and the people who already love the brand probably hate EV’s. Yeah it got people on car forums talking about it but I’ve not heard a single person outside of PH even mention it once. Name aside it looks like a nice car, will be interesting to see if it can compete with the model y.

I came here to read about Mustangs. Sorry, that’s not a mustang.
Same here, I was very disappointed when I saw the photos. And why does it have a moustache?

On the contrary, people want to "buy into" the Mustang brand so much that Ford is reorganising the company around it.

Ugly, and yet another electric vehicle that's unnecessarily large and about half a ton heavier than an equivalent ICE version. Yet more environmental virtue signalling at its worst.

If this is the future of cars, I'm glad I'm not a teenager now.

Amazing! And given Ford have invested in Rivian, maybe it’ll happen to whatever comes of their partnership.

Oh yes. It's an amazing time to be buying new cars.

And a bargain at £57k.

Only a fool wouldn't be running to the local dealer tomorrow with their life savings..

I think it enhances the Mustang brand. Ford decide what they do with it anyway.

On this thing, i quite like it as a wife friendly daily option. Especially the range. And the price. Looks a very credible Tesla Model Y alternative, but presumably without the worries on parts supplier/service woes/build quality , etc
"wife friendly"?

Really? I think the real 'odd thing' here is you my misogynist friend

Anything whatsoever to do with 50 years of Mustang V8 pony car heritage? Errrrm…….

Anything to do with 50 years of base Mustang shopping car heritage? Well, everybody in ordinary-town wants an eco SUV.

It's an electric Ford - whoopee doo. Might as well paint it nipple pink to attract the suckers.

Crikey, you sound like me! Why can’t people control their children anymore?!

Another EV that looks as if it was styled by team that never met - and none of whom were born with the gift of sight.
Why do EVs have to look gawky and ill-proportioned? Even the Taycan’s headlights / front-end is fugly.
Is it a consequence of crash regs?
