Even on this car, I bet that's worth more than the car.

It Sold for £9400 + the bits back in Jan 93.....
It certainly seems a bargain now and a good investment if it's still owned by the same person that originally purchased it.

I wonder how many times it's been sold on in the last 29 years!

I can't recall seeing it advertised any where....? I find a lot of numbers do stay in the same ownership/families for many years... I've had mine coming up 33 years....yikes

I saw a good one in Walsall yesterday. It read BI9 AET on a Range Rover. Which I read as "big ay it" in the local dialect, made me laugh.

I met him at a Securicor-sponsored event back in the 80s when he was driving a Toyota in the BTCC - his company car at the time was a Supra with the same plate. Seemed like a nice bloke to a star-struck teenage me.
Here’s the racing car:

For some reason I actually prefer 3 letter and 1 number combination plates to the shorter ones!

I also like stuff that just looks cool. Someone on here posted 777 VVV - I just like the way that looks.

I’m sure the owner is well on track to get a decent return from their investment with this one.

Let’s see if we can say the same for the country in 20 years time biggrin

Lots of this sort of thing where I live. Plates worth more than the cars they are on (often small EVs). South London.
