I quite like seeing those as they've got some great plates. I saw IC 1 a couple if weeks ago.
IND 1 was in a car park in Oxford last week. And LIT 1 (presumably Lithuania) was here the week before. College lunches are clearly worth travelling for.droopsnoot said:

'be of a type that needs an MOT'
I presume that includes vehicles that are MOT exempt due to the 40 year rule? Because they 'need' an MOT but are granted an exemption through the regulations??
The 5-year thing presumably is to stop people transferring good numbers straight off 'barn finds' that are too far gone to fix (so one would just have to SORN it for 5 years then transfer it off)?
I presumed that as well. I'm not sure, though. I think you're right about the 5 years thing, and of course for vehicles too far gone to fix, there's always the chance they'll want to see it moving under it's own power before they'll let the registration be transferred.I presume that includes vehicles that are MOT exempt due to the 40 year rule? I'm not sure why the 5 year rule is in place. When you buy a used car you have no idea whether it's been taxed or sorn continuously for the last 5 years. What about vehicles that have been 'in trade' for a long time?
