New to PistonHeads? Read this first

Hi, I just joined t'other day. 
I'm mostly interested in Advanced Driving (although I did sign up specifically because I had an urgent question to post in 'Speed, Plod and the Law' but it seems I can't post there for 14 days... damn it 
)
Anyhoo, could someone help me with usernames please?
I signed up with the username 'HighwayToad' then a day or so later decided on a much better name I wanted to use. So I've changed my username, logged out and back in, but when I replied on an Advanced Driving thread (the same one I'd originally posted in as 'HighwayToad') it is still showing that name against my new post.
Can anything be done about that (pretty please) ? - I much prefer my new username 'SpeedyTheTortoise'

I'm afraid your posts will retain the username you had at the time they were created. Any you create from now on (like this one) will be shown as being by 'SpeedyTheTortoise'; you could always post on the Advanced Driving thread to explain the name change.

There is a forum dedicated to car buying - click this link to go there.The rules only allow you to post a link to your advert in this forum, and only in response to an appropriate thread.

Click on someone's username, then the 'Email Me' link on their profile page. There is no separate PM inbox/outbox, just the ability to email members. Anyone PM'ing you will result in an email to your registered email address.
