I love GOOOOOOOLD (wings)
Based on a silver wing, the cx 500 vtwin based variant. It's a Honda motorbike with a precious metal and "wing" in the name, close enough on a car forum.

Citroen made an electric Berlingo in 2001, had absolutely no idea until I saw one for sale today. 60 mile range and petrol cabin heater!

There was also an electric Saxo and a Peugeot 106 Electric if I recall correctly...there's some niche 1990s French car knowledge for you. That, and the fact that the Renault Fuego was the first car with remote central locking (and the option of a diesel engine in a coupe, very avantgarde).

I'd like to think the FIAT Regata 70ES was the first production car with stop/start. It's the first one I was ever aware of, anyway. If anyone on this forum is aware of an earlier one I'd be interested to know.
Just confirming that, given you're describing a 1980s FIAT, it was a designed in stop/start, not merely randomly stopping and starting?

It was indeed designed that way. I had the ordinary 70 without the stop/start option, it was one of the most reliable, comfortable, enjoyable and useful cars I've ever had, I drove it from Nottingham to Gibraltar and back a few times. Still miss it.
I thought VW introduced Stop Start first? There was a range of economy obsessed models called "Formel E" with all sorts of eco features such as hugely long top gear, additional aero additions, high compression engines etc, and including stop/start activated by pushing a button on the wiper stalk.
