Prices have been getting out of hand lately, true, but that is just about spot-on.

I guess I am really cynical that any e46 exists in the condition described in that Ad! What a lovely car though.

Would love that but that’s too nice to be used as a daily (and be left at outdoor station car park all day). frown

Thanks for the kind words all, I have been using an Audi A2 1.4tdi for the past few months and it has got too much.
Commiserations, old (baked) bean - shame you weren't able to cope with the awesomeness of the A2.
Just taxed mine again for the year - £30 - and can't remember the last time I put fuel in it. It just keeps going.

Many congrats on the new purchase smile
Since Magnus is back at the garage having the rear end remedied, once again, I spent a few hours cleaning Mrs Bolide's 1.4 petrol A2. It's a lovely and well made thing.

Mine's a work hack but I feel guilty sometimes at the way I take it for granted.
Great wee cars.

Concurring with other comments on that E46 Coupe, but the waffle in the second paragraph put me off reading any further. It looks great but I prefer Messing and the light wood interior trims.

Don’t get me wrong, I still like the A2 as a model but doing 60 miles a day I didn’t find it comfortable and I miss having abit of go for overtaking etc.

If I had a slightly smaller commute I would probably buy another one, they feel very modern for 20 year old city car!

Looks fantastic, no rust (reportedly) AND heated seats! Also looks like it has been looked after properly. Shame it's not a manual though.

Given the spec and condition (if genuinely no rust/totally clean underneath), price doesn't look too silly in the scheme of things.

You know what; initially I'd have said £5k tops, more so at that mileage

But that colour scheme and it's overall condition; it wouldn't surprise me if it sells for close to asking

There's not many about like that at all!

Mora metallic with cream interior. That's perfection.

i really like that - i remember looking at one of these from the dealers forecourt as a nearly new and it didnt look as good as that.

i'd use it as a daily, what a lovely thing to brighten your morning wafting to work in that.

anyone know how to get 2 bikes in the boot? ;-)

Has Macron told you off for all this non-barge chat yet?

Nice car, but definitely 'benefitting from' the COVID-tax AND the Bournemouth-tax.

Lol! Who am I to judge? I’m more Primark security guard than police.

It’s pretty. Expensive. For a 120k car. Still. Pretty. 12 months ago these were 1500- 2500 privately, maybe more for a pretty one on a forum where people wear baseball caps and breathe through their mouths. If you lot want to spunk >thread on it, and keep hoping more scaffolders and other cash trades will be willing to part with more for it in the future, good luck to you. You could be right.

ETA a while ago I posted this cab to, from memory, a sum total of no fks given. I posted it mainly because of the prettiness of the pics. Thread is a curious thing. Had it been purple…

Scanning through FB marketplace and few caught my eye:

X300 for £1500. Doesn't look too bad for the money: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/13521590...

Somethin a bit different from the run of the mill; an 8 Seater yank estate: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/45351711...

Merc W123 looks in pretty good nick but I am not convinced the coloured wheels do it any favors: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/27842554...

I don't like the de-chromed grille and the chav-blue lights. The lack of interior shots ain't great, neither.

Do like the HK and heated seats, though iirc this isn't an 'extensive' options list as it doesn't seem to have xenons (could be wrong) or sat nav.

That W123 looks in great nick (you'd obviously have to loose the wheels) - clearly had a respray (underside wheel well was never painted in body colour and the sill beneath the rubbing strip was always black) and it's too orangey for the period Signal Red. But the interior is in amazing condition....

How about a bit of grandpa chic JRG / beige. Barely run in. V8 badge geraldry aside, looks neat. Memory heated seats and nav

Decent ones like this were never less than £2500; rough ones maybe... They've always been around the c£4k mark; but they have gone up, they are getting rarer as they do like to fizz slightly in the rain, more so by the shores!

My thoughts exactly - must be one of a handful of really minty E46 330s now. The ride won't be very thread with Sport suspension on MV1s (although a world away from the modern firmness of Audi/Merc/BMW sports things), but otherwise it looks absolutely sensational.
