How about a bit of grandpa chic JRG / beige. Barely run in. V8 badge geraldry aside, looks neat. Memory heated seats and nav
The saloons never seem to capture the imagination of the thread in the way that the estates do; I'm not certain why, perhaps is the relative rarity of the latter? Answers on a postcard.Starjet99 said:

What's that app?!
It's called Vehicle Smart. All sorts of interesting analysis of MOT and mileage data!

Said it before and I'll say it again; the money some people are willing to spend on objectively dreadful 70's/80's and 90's Fords will never cease to amaze me.
I had a Series 1 Escort RS Turbo and it was comfortably one of the worst cars I've ever owned. Genuinely awful.
Made a grand on it when I sold for £3500 (ish, IIRC) 6 months after buying though.
PS - Congrats.

Confirmed today after a bit of a mix up, collect a Lexus LS400 on Thurs, will post up the obligatory filling station photo
Quite excited, not a brave barge choice compared to some on here, as my first V8 was a disaster thought this was a sensible choice to use on big family road trips
Have we had this one yet?
Doesn't look massively rotten which you would expect for this age and good spec with the all important rear picnic tables!
would be worth a haggle to allow for a new bonnet and a detail, or leave as is and just smoke around in it.

That looks pretty good spec and looks clean. You'll get disapproval here as it's a diesel but it's your car so don't worry. Should sound good and give good mpg.
Check for black death in the engine and all the usual w220 foibles are addressed. I don't see much wrong with the bonnet so save that money for keeping it rolling.
A body shop might be able to straighten it out for you in due course.
Ps it looks a bit low on itself in the pics so check the airmatic is sound. Ideally if it local and parked up you could drive by the lot and see if it's dropped over time indicating a leak.

This S500 has been for sale a while, I think they've knocked £200 off it as it was just under 5k. Now £4800.
Has decent enough spec, radar cruise, heated seats etc. Description isn't terribly informative though.

Would it clean up ok? The interior looks boggin.

That W123 looks in great nick (you'd obviously have to loose the wheels) - clearly had a respray (underside wheel well was never painted in body colour and the sill beneath the rubbing strip was always black) and it's too orangey for the period Signal Red. But the interior is in amazing condition....

Why is there 497pictures of the passenger side, but virtually none from the drivers? Makes me suss that it has a 'good side for photos' How about a bit of grandpa chic JRG / beige. Barely run in. V8 badge geraldry aside, looks neat. Memory heated seats and nav
