The "sporty" RS7 is 2000kg+. I'm really with you on the interior, so glad to see somebody finally scrapping the stuck-on iPads and going for proper buttons on the stuff that matters. It looks a really good place to be.

Not because of cars like this! You think its all cool and exciting but it's like sitting in an R8 and coasting down the road with the engine off! You'll never get the drama and excitement of a petrol car in an EV, never. An EV is a car with it's heart missing. Great for everyday stuff but for the stuff that excites us, no chance? (Yes, I've driven EVs)

I'm looking for an EV as a company car (sadly the budget wont stretch to a Taycan or Model S!) which leaves me looking at a sea of odd looking quasi-SUV's I just cant get remotely excited about. When will we see more stuff styled like this but at a more accessible price point?
My god that's an ugly car. What happened to elegance and style?
And 2.3 tonnes. This is the biggest issue for long range EV's - so much deadweight to give a range that 95% of the time you won't use between charges. It's getting to the point my Discovery 4 is starting to look lithe by comparison!

It is mad to think that I used to give the E92 M3 loads of stick for weighing 1650kg. I didn't realise how lucky I was to have a performance car that only weighed 1650kg!

Apparently power / acceleration is just a by product of more batteries needed for more range. If you make the thing lighter via less batteries it will accelerate slower but the range will suffer. EV experts feel free to correct me if wrong.TX.

Sure the Audi guys will love this but at £130k it's nothing special performance wise. The Tesla Model 3 LR is just as capable at £51.5k with the add on Performance Boost. Brings acceleration to within 0.1 seconds, and the Model 3 is 400KG lighter and way more efficient. Tesla also has a shorter wheelbase and fires out of bends just the same and it has better regenerative braking. LR has 300 miles range plus.. Then there is the Supercharger network. Even if the Audi was the same price as a Model 3 I would take the Tesla everyday over anything else that relies on the public charging network, it's just not reliable, maybe in 5 years time but not now. Audi shouts "Look at me!" Model 3 doesn't grab any unwanted attention.. maybe I'm getting too old
