That's pretty magnificent, itsn't it? 15 years from now, if that still looks like that, then it'll be a jaw-droppingly elegant way to arrive.
That does look lovely - colour coded sideskirts tooI'm sure the ad said it is a facelift - did the facelifts have orange indicators?

I looked at a few of these some years ago, when they were all the rage on much earlier volumes of this thread. I really like the look of them and am still sorry I never got one, but I really dislike the colour coded side skirts. Were they standard on the Sport models? I think they make it look too solid and slab sided and detract from the otherwise long, low, profile of the car.5 In a Row said:

The issue is that the BMW has stripes in the 'fabled' Motorsport colours but is only a puny 2.5 with M Sport plastic guff attached so it's trying way too hard. The Peugeot meanwhile has stripes that aren't trying to elevate it into something it isn't.
Having said that I don't think white is the right colour for those RCZs but they do a nice Rover Nightfire Red which makes a nice change from the almost ubiquitous black.

SOTW this week is a dog eared silver W220 that looks so rough in the pics that it's bound to be an utter nail in person, for £1,500. It does appear that the days of the serviceable and presentable sub £2k barge are long behind us
I think you are correct unfortunately, but I live in hope.Macron said:

Have we had this 300E at 3.5? Looks really nice. I expect it's a second or third post of it so apologies in advance, lol!
I rather like that. I wonder how scruffy it is in real life?Have we had this 300E at 3.5? Looks really nice. I expect it's a second or third post of it so apologies in advance, lol!

Popped into my usual garage to arrange a retest yesterday, and had a proper nose around this, including getting it up on the ramp. What a machine!
Also, it appears to be for sale on Car and Classic...
Same one I saw a couple of weeks back. It was at Gawsorth Hall Youngtimers Show. Also, it appears to be for sale on Car and Classic...
ETA the dealer appears to be a bit of a barge fan: http://www.igmpedigreemotors.stockpages.uk/?startr...

Seller going for the world's "shytest pics in an ad" award notwithstanding, we have here a an SL320 that isn't a rusty skip for near enough thread. MOT history shows it has had little love but how far wrong can you go?

Some curious photography techniques based, I suspect, on a potato, but a car that is now pretty rare and which will outlast the most long-lived cockroach. Pity it's white, but what a cool thing. Didn't these have 4 wheel steering? And I bet it has a green digital clock for the win; hard to be sure, potato man didn't bother getting anything pictured inside.

I got a little excited about that until I looked at the advert and the MOT history as we just happen to be heading up past there this evening to spend the weekend away for our 10th wedding anni.https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1349567
A lack of details but it looks like the 2.0 model and not the rapid (2.2VTi?) version with the four wheel steering. I came very close to buying a lovely burgundy version of the following generation a good few year ago. I've always liked them.
MOT history also suggests it has been fighting metal cancer for quite a while.
Thinking about it, I don't think my wife would have been too impressed with a detour for her to spend an hour or so sat in the car while I crawled all over a sporty 30 year old japanese model...

I really like the look of this, but I have no idea what size it is?! Is there a UK model that it is similar too?S180 vintage few dash cracks showing from the pics just like mine - but they all do that https://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/toyota/crown/...
