They clearly sell more outside of the UK than they do in it.
They only have a dealer network about a 5th the size of Porsche, though. That's many fewer opportunities to engage with prospective customers and service existing ones.
Ferrari have about the same number as Lotus, but I imagine more likely to carry it off as the reputation speaks for itself, the cars are much higher value items and the need to travel for service less frequent and better accepted (at that price point).
Lotus needs to find a way to get to market and support its product.
