I had no idea the Duratec 3.0 V6 was still available post facelift. What a colour!
In thread too.

I retract my submission. I wouldn't touch that with a bargepole.

Kicking off my first contribution with - V70 stereo. Dead.
As you were, folks...
Is this stereo one of those molded into the dash ones that cannot be replaced with aftermarket without looking like a plastic carbuncle in the dash?? As you were, folks...
You have my sympathy if that is the case.

I want to hate this because only X308s and before are actual XJs for me, but, I love it. NorthernSky said:

This thing looks immense. What a lush colour - paradise green! 2.8 V6, Recaros, 19 stamps, manual. Sure, the fuel economy isn't going to be great but just LOOK at the thing. Rear seats look unused, the alloys are refurbished, and the paint gleams.
Perhaps £6000 is outrageous for such a car but compared to what it must have cost new, with inflation, it still seems compelling to me. Maybe you lurkers here in the smoker barge thread will agree.
Pretty certain that someone here will buy this before I can afford it, which won't be until January next year.
Lovely. But tiny in the rear for a barge. And you’ve just answered a non barge question for me; probably 30 years ago I saw an ur Quattro in Sheppards Audi/VW in Bishop’s Stortford in an incredible green. And now I know (think) it was paradise green. I don’t think the Avant shown has recaros, at least not recaros that meet my bolster related expectation for them. This thing looks immense. Last volume seemed to cover a lot of ground very quickly (Just like a barge should) but it actually wasn't as quick as prev vol
Stats - perhaps it was the number of purchases that made it feel that way

You should link up with Tobinen and add cars by volume. Stats - perhaps it was the number of purchases that made it feel that way

Call me a radical upstart, but how about we use this new iteration of the thread to focus on, say, cars which are a bit bargey, and which are being advertised for over a grand but no more than 5 grand?
Hmm? Just a thought. Maybe we could bend the rules on a Friday, which does appear to only represent around 24 of the 168 hours in a week?
Or I could just ?

Yes, Yes, I know I talked about bikes last time, I won't do it again!

Estimate well within thread, one MOT fail since 2006, the vast majority being clean with zero advisories and its freaking powder blue...
