What about the Red Bull Racing Megane RB8 as well.

27 registered at peak in UK, looks like 22 now, 120 made.
Now that is a good shout, they had completely passed me by and yet I've been selling Renault from 2002 till current, I remember them now but only because you've posted about them!
Wasn't there an RB7 too?

SEAT Ibiza GTI (MK2) later called the Cupra GTI
A rarer version of the MK2 Ibiza is the 1.8 16v GTI, only 3 remaining now and all SORN'd out of 97 registered.

VW Polo G40
My mate had one, was a proper little weapon in a straight line and made a fantastic noise from the supercharger.
Lack of any kind of actual subframe holding the front end together made cornering somewhat interesting than though!

Honda Civic Jordan, all Jordan yellow and only 86 left.
Good shout.

As is the Cyborg and the BRM for rarity alone.

Escort GTI? was more Common than the GHIA.

I would say the Clio Williams was a contender, but they made quite a few.

Citroën Visa Gti. Same engine from the 205 Gti (1.6), a bit like the 205s ugly sister really.

I had a visa gt chrono, white with white steel wheels, 1360 with twin carbs. It went very well and handled wonderfully!

Mentioned this on another thread recently, but what about the Peugeot 205 GTi 1FM....UK only....only 25 ever made....pretty special.

Mk2 Astra GTE 'Champion' Edition....

Peugeot 306 GTi-6 (Phase 1)....particularly in Cossack Grey

Not a rare 'edition' per se....but seeing as the GTi-6 could only be ordered as a Phase 1 for around 12 months before the Ph2 arroved, they don't exist in huge numbers.....particularly not in Cossack Grey, which for whatever reason was a particularly unusual colour to be ordered - hence really quite rare these days.

The same applies for the 306 S16, which was a precursor to the GTi6, fitted with the Mi16 lump and only available for 2 years but didn't sell in huge numbers......

Getting a little more current......the VW Golf Mk7 GTi Clubsport S......Only 150 in RHD.....

Oh check that out, they should have put the 1.9 in that. Mille Pistes edition sounds pretty exotic, sadly not to my eyes smile

The MK5 Golf GTi Pirelli.220 sold in RHD form and has the most powerful engine of the Mk5 Gti`s. The mods were, different seats with the tyre tread moulded into the seats, different "Pirelli" wheels, different steering wheel and wheels, oh and of course Pirelli tyres,

They also did some Adidas version did they not?
Not that ive ever heard of, do you have a link?

Went to Leicester to look at one of these about six years ago, drove well but the bodywork wasn't quite in the condition that it should have been for the price he wanted. Ended up getting a Mk5 R32 instead.

I remember reading about this before but I don't believe it ever made it to the UK.

I've always had a soft spot for the Pirelli Edition though.

How about the Civic Type R Mugen 2.2, only 20 made and probably one of the most ultimate, although forgotten Type R's.
