Jaguar’s take on the Cybertruck..

What in mean by that is .. in a future world of haves and have nots , this is the kind of car the haves will be driving.

With the new world power across the pond .. I can see Jaguar and Tesla have read the tea leaves well..

Roll on AI Armageddon.. the drivers of these beasts will be safely cocooned as they run over the (non) working class proletariat.

So, does it have any practical use? Or is it just meant to be a fashion accessory that goes with the present dystopian times?

This is a car for people with more money than sense.

<snip>

Chanel, Hermes and Rolex do quite nicely in that world.
eh? aside from apparent envy, what do you think is non-sensical about Chanel, Hermes & Rolex?

Say what you will about it, but it's difficult to deny that if the production version looks close to that, even if only proportionally, it's going to have serious road presence.
It won’t…

The 'haves' will rent them for 3 years and thanks to proper depreciation making a return as the industry loses its grip on year three price manipulation, the 'have nots' can then buy them.

Let's be honest, the worst thing that has been done to normal folks this century when it comes to cars is the massive price manipulation against them by the manufacturers at the end of the rental terms.

Cars should depreciate like a bomb once three years old. We've all been massively fked over for the last 20 years just so that the financing on the first rental can be subsidised.

It looks far better on the road than in _that_ video. I still dislike the front, it's too Audi.

Rear 3/4 has hints of E type even. A good size too, about XJ?

Put a better front on and it will be great.

Can't see the real thing looking much like this version

Looks like it's escaped from a film set with Fred Flintstone peddling inside

Ooh look! It’s a mildly restyled Morgan Eva from a number of years ago.

Bonnet is too long. If it gets to production it won’t look anything like as crazy

Farige will be having a heart attack given he thinks they should be making 1960's cars.
the XE and XF were subject to the same it's not a Jag waffle after the Fawd S and X pastiche cars.

the C-X75 was just as bold but they failed to see that through

It is a really bold statement of design. Good on Jag.

Looks about as wieldy as a bus. Buy one but don’t expect to be able to part it anywhere.

If they had the b#^ls to build that I’d be in the queue if it drove as well as it looks. So different. Love it. Sorry.

I know you were making a different point, but using Tesla as an example now needs a blind eye to be turned going by their recent drop in sales, and ultimately, brand value. All thanks to their unpredictable frontman.

It’s a concept car. Its practical use is to get a load of people on the internet to create lots of hot air. When then real first car, the four door GT, arrives at the end of the year and looks more like a RR Spectre and available in black with ivory interior and wood people will calm down and jaguars publicity team will have kept them alive in a year of no production

Well I suppose it has achieved that!

It looks like something from a comic-book to me. Somehow I doubt Jaguar will be selling anything looking like that.
