misbadging cars

As for keeping up with the M5, I can only assume he was following an M5 on the motorway, both doing 70.
Stuff like that does make you wonder how many races you've lost in the past, and what you were racing against when you lost...
We've probably all lost multiple races to 1 litre Fiestas, Polos, Corsas etc.

Baffles my brain too. Bloke in the pub a while back was talking to someone who couldn't care less about cars about his 'M Power BMW' keeping up with an M5. Chap he was talking to told him he didn't know much about cars but he carried on.. 'M this, M performance, M that...'. Intrigued I interrupted and asked what car he had. 'M1 mate, it's outside'.
Went to the window and parked across two spaces was a mid-range 1 Series with M badges. No idea if it was an M Sport model or just a normal 1 series with badges but it definitely wasn't anything special.
I thought he was a tosser, original bloke he was talking to thought he was a tosser... what's the point?

You can use car check websites to see full info from reg plate which is easiest with these misbadged or body kitted cars.Went to the window and parked across two spaces was a mid-range 1 Series with M badges. Could have been a 135i with mods? They look more basic but as fast as a 1M.

Besides the interesting fuelling arrangements, the sticker along the bottom suggests he worked for the council in Johor (in Malaysia, just across the causeway from Singapore) but has now retired. Lor. (My Bahasa is crap though, so if someone knows better do say)

I haven’t seen the MX-5 Abarth that resided in my street for quite a while now...
Abarth 124?
It looked OK, but the MX-5 moniker at the rear was a bit of a giveaway.

You know it wasn't though, from what a throbber the bloke was. He'd have been bleating on about his 900bhp tuned M Sport if it had a backstreet £299 remap on it.Could have been a 135i with mods? They look more basic but as fast as a 1M.
