RE: Driven: Audi R8 Spyder
Discussion
Actually reading through all the posts on this thread I think over all people give it a big thumbs up. I rarely (if ever) come across one on the road (coupe, V8 or V10 sometimes, although rarely, another spyder twice in the period since I have owned mine).
In answer to the steering, unlike my brothers Mk1 TT (that felt like you were steering through glue), the R8 has much more feel and I wouldn't know that it was all wheel drive most of the time. Except in heavy rain when, unlike my Vette ZO6, it doesn't try and throw me off the road by aqua-planing, even at slow speeds.
DMS do a very good upgrade for it almost knocking on 600BHP. Once the current performance stops putting a grin on my face (or a litre of petrol hits two quid a pop) I might just book it in for a trip to Southampton.
