You have seen one, haven't you?
Cover up the badges, and it could have come from any number of low-rent far Eastern manufacturers.
For all the faults of the S-Type, you could never be in any doubt that it was a Jaguar.
Suppose we'll have to agree to disagree, I like Jaguar's new look and if the sales are anything to go by it'll also help them stay in business.Cover up the badges, and it could have come from any number of low-rent far Eastern manufacturers.

What Hyundai were you meaning by the way?
Something like this?!

Obviously, it's not identical to anything else out there - but it does have that Far Eastern look.
Not helped by an interior which looks like it was designed by Matsui.

As for the interior I'd say it's one of the best to sit in. Better than some of the German ones I can mention that are so boring to look at.
i'm with rammy76 on this one. to say this looks just like another car from the east is just absurb, it looks nothing like those cars. the interior is nice, and as you say, most german interiors are a bit "clinical". i do like that in a way. the XK interior to me appeared a little cheaply made compared to its german counterparts. i think (personally) the best interior from the german rivals at the moment is the new 6er....sure, this colour combo might not be the best but the design is just lovely (IMO)
love how it's angled towards the driver, like older BMW's; and how the dash curves to separate the passenger as it were

Jaguar should develop a new smaller car for this engine. The XF is great with the V6 diesel engine, this is just wrong in my opinion.
Why is it wrong? - the Germans have been sticking 4-pot diesels in this class of car for years. That said, the brand is still super important which is why there are some caveats i.e. the new Aston Martin Cygnet and Ferrari FF, both of which risk doing damage to the perception of the brand. A 4 cylinder diesel engine won't harm Jaguar as there is no difference to the design of the car, if Jaguar had just released a 4 cylinder diesel city car that would be different.
So what if the Germans are doing it to the 5 series, its wrong there too.

I've got a Passat and although functional, it's very boring. Sums up the car really!!
