There's a manual Speed Yellow 997.1 up for sale on Autotrader at present. Its on nearly 100K miles and is priced at £27.5K.

I really like this. But it seems punchy pricing for a car with that mileage. Rare colour tax maybe. £4k or 5k less and I might be tempted

I'd agree it's definitely punchy. They don't come up that often? I guess the "rarity" is driving the price.

not bad this Porsche 997 Gemballa GT 650 Biturbo , first owner, very low miles

The Gemballa is from 1st hand and was purchased by the owner directly from the Gemballa company.

Is that not about £8k over current market rates?

I wouldn't have said that much over. Nice colour, sensible miles if the history stacks up I would have thought £42k? So not too far over.
That said, though, any gen 2 car that's had its suspension overhauled together with the other underside issues you get on these at 15 year old already sorted is going to cost you more.
Anyone who follows the Friends Green Porsche boys on YouTube seem.to have a steady stream of gen 2s coming in for a mechanical refresh and it's always rhe same stuff, heat shields etc but it's a £10k bill so if it's been done it's worth paying overs for as the car is going to handke like new again and will be good for another 15 years

We never even got to the bit about discussing price! It's been for sale since June '24 so I guess they aren't too keen on shifting it ......

Would've loved a Gen 2 Manual S but that one was just too punchy price-wise, and there aren't many on the market.

Settled on a .1, bore checked completely clear. Love it

My response from November, as I'd been to see it:

"It's been for sale since June when it was at £50k (SOR and only owned since early this year), I went to see it in August straight after viewing the FGP 997.2 C2S (also still for sale), that one was tatty and had an oil leak - a nonchalant response put me off. The Autostore car is very nice and I offered £45k even with the wrong seats (for me, but can be changed), then upped it to £46k and never heard back. The engine lid also doesn't close fully, just needs an adjustment I think."

More details with a photo of the engine lid on page 193 of this thread...
