Like you I cant wait to get the new car on track. Can you let us have some info on how the Cup R's perform / last both on the road & on track.
I Have used Cup 2 R on my 2RS on both to and from Silverstone. You need to find the right track conditions to get the best from them. They require a fair bit of heat before they are at their best, though expensive they are worth the effort to try at least once. Care needs to taken though when its wet/damp on roads. Tbh the latest Cup 2s that were on the Gen 3RS were in my opinion a good step up over the ones that were on the 991RS in terms of grip and track time usage. PTS comfirmed for May delivery.. I am keep the colour under lock and key for now and away from Social media..
not the ‘usual’ colour pallet that’s for sure, however looking forward to getting back out on track.. will run in probably on track, just like I did my 992 TurboS!
Will keep updates coming in due course

Not sure how many miles you have on your GT3RS, but at around 1500 ( Inc about 1k on track) the blue engine run in light goes out. Then the engine drives like its on another Map, it really comes alive in sounds also. I am really looking forward to get this new GT3 on track have some Cup 2 R ready to go on, based on just how good my 991.2GT3 was with just a few GEO and ride height settings, have high expectations for this new car..
Anybody know ... what would be a good geo set-up on a 991.2 GT3 ?For mainly road but some track work ?

Yep, I’d probably go with CG also. I’ve used them before for my fast road geo and would do so again.
Ralph has a booking there later in the spring Chris, so maybe connect with him also.
Plus one for CG. Setup my RS for fast road and it’s perfection. Had been previously setup by Manthey and it was a dog on the road compared. Ralph has a booking there later in the spring Chris, so maybe connect with him also.
As I understand it OPCs are initially being allocated 3 cars for more or less immediate production and delivery, say early May.
Does anyone yet know when information on the bulk of deliveries will be communicated to the dealerships and if so what the typical allocations will be to the OPCs and over what timeframe?

Traditionally they're done on a rolling basis every quarter. So upon release a dealership may get a rough idea of how many cars they'll get over the total run e.g. 15 cars. They may then 3 cars per quarter for 5 quarters until production ends. The 3 cars may be 5 one quarter or 2 another though. Basically if you've missed the initial round of allocations you've got to wait a few months for the next round at which point confirmed build slots will be allocated to folks waiting.
This is how it used to work pre-pandemic anyway.

I’m dealing with a large OPC. They told me they are only getting 4 cars this year and production April/May so delivery July or August I hope.
They said smaller dealers only getting one or two cars so allocations seem slim if this is correct.
And yes they want me to buy a watch.
Really. Are they asking you or telling you? They said smaller dealers only getting one or two cars so allocations seem slim if this is correct.

Yes...that’s how it worked with 991.2 GT3. This is how it used to work pre-pandemic anyway.
I was talking to sales exec re something else just after the GT3 was launched...he said they have three build slots for this year and have no idea of total production. They’ve been unable to give people the comfort of saying “we’re expecting three more build slots in Q3 and you’ll get one of those cars” etc which has led to some fairly unhappy customers who are used to getting made to feel special
I’ve never asked about a 992 GT3 so I think that was relatively straight info and not skewed as a potential buyer.
Thinking back to 991.2 there was a lot more chat about people saying they were expecting a car at the end of the year when that was launched.

Give Chris at Centre Gravity in Atherstone CV9 2GA a call on 01827 718800 and although I haven't used them personally everyone who I have spoken to who has, raves about them. Not cheap by very good.
Are they willing to give out the spec or is it a case of you have to go to them an get it set up ?EvoSid said:
