I also look forward to more details about the car
But don’t get why so many people are relying on you tubers or the like to confirm if the new. GT3 is any good!
It’s the very latest Porsche and did a wonderful ring time
what more are you expecting to learn other than it’s going to be a better car than the previous?

Rather depends on what your definition of 'better' actually is. Thus far it actually doesn't appear better by a number of broad metrics. But don’t get why so many people are relying on you tubers or the like to confirm if the new. GT3 is any good!

A bit more tech... yes.
Slightly faster at warp speeds over 125mph+ due to more aero and front chassis...yes.
Faster at normal speeds under 125 mph and in a straight line...no.
Less lardy in weight and appearance....no.
Prettier...no.
Better value ££...no due to huge price increase over 15%.
Better sound....no.
As already mentioned the proper roadtests will be very interesting.
I do feel there is a little too much negativity about the 992 GT3. I personally think the car is going to be next level...
There will always be negativity from those who can't obtain, afford or talk up the older model. But as always opinions are good to hear if they are for the right reasons, just like mine.
The only thing I see as a potential issue compared with non OPF cars is the sound and that is easily rectified by JCR/ Akrapovic.

Ah, the old "you can't afford it so you're slagging it off" argument. It's not a good look, much like the new 992 GT3 There will always be negativity from those who can't obtain, afford or talk up the older model. I'd be wary of assuming the sound can be improved with no issues. The 718 GT4 with OPFs gets drone introduced very easily, although the 911 engine is further away and has a different length exhaust system etc. You'd need to hear a 991.3 GT3RS with an exhaust to see how it can be improved, or not.

Have you heard JCR's GT4?I'd be wary of assuming the sound can be improved with no issues. Not in the flesh, no. However it currently has a full system replacement, OPF delete/header/silencer. Not suitable for everyone, debatable if it's road legal and I believe it's throwing CEL warning lights...
Agreed, their latest set up is a bit on the extreme side for the masses.I think it's agreeable that pre OPF cars with an after market exhaust will always sound better than a OPF car with an after market exhaust, just like they do when standard. But improvements can be made.
There are not many owners that actually want their GT3 to sound like a true RSR (unless they don't give a crap about their neighbours) but many that want to enhance the standard factory note.
I have had a couple of GT3/RS's with Akrapovic set up's so know the score when it comes to noise but happy to settle for a half way house to benefit from improvements in other areas on newer models. Each to their own...

All you what is an honest review off one of the top motoring journalists.
Because Oulton Park and Brands Hatch are not the ring!
So it maybe that the older car is better for UK tracks.
But is there a journalist with big enough b**ls to say that?
Moot. It's pretty well accepted that a road car that goes well at the 'Ring is going to work extremely well both on road or any other circuit. That is why it's such a benchmark - the variety of turns is a pretty good test.Because Oulton Park and Brands Hatch are not the ring!

In fact, if you were to pick a UK circuit closest to the 'Ring, arguably Oulton is one of the prime candidates. Most different would almost certainly be Silverstone GP circuit.
Harris has already gone on record saying word to the effect of:
- The GT3 horsepower war passed beyond what most road/trackday drivers could use ages ago.
- In his personal opinion, the high-water mark for the GT3 was either the 997.2 Rs or 991.2 GT3 manual.
