I've been told all Targa 992 GTS have been delayed until January 2022... anyone else had the same message or is my dealer being daft?

My dealer is just saying that until its officially announced they cannot advise anything as don't know anything themselves.

I do however half get the feeling it will be very late this year for initial deliveries or early 2021, hence my post few back about looking to purchase something in the interim.

In the interim, I take delivery of a 991.2 Carerra 4 GTS Coupe next weekend as am getting the feeling that the Targa may be quite a while off yet.

Do you know if that’s for all the 992 Gts range,or just the targa?

A colleague of mine based in Germany has been told his GTS Targa will likely be delivered in October. His understanding is that he will be one of the first in line with his dealership. Perhaps an indication that late 2021 / early 2022 for UK cars sounds about right.

Hopefully their will be some news on this soon, as pictures been doing the rounds for some time now and April seems to be the date people are banding around for official release.

In the meantime, bought myself a 991.2 Carerra 4 GTS (coupe), in Crayon. Lovely car (low mileage, original owner + me), alcantara, centre locks, etc, ie the things every GTS should have IMO.

It wouldn't surprise me at all, hence buying the car I have, as got the feeling 3rd quarter delivery was unlikely.

Who knows though....

Bear in mind, UK cars with effect from 2022 will (or may?) have mandatory fitment of speed control systems.

I can't find anything in the media more recent than the two or three year old reports, to say (the EU imposed) plans have been shelved .

Well April has nearly been and gone, and no announcement. The changes of getting a Targa this year are I suspect nigh on zero.

Enjoying the 4GTS in the meantime, so not the end of the world.

I heard from my OPC last week that GTS is on hold as they failed the emission tests, so currently can't be released till further in the year until a new software package is developed.

My 991.2 4GTS is in for warranty work soon too- failed PADM, seems like a common fault by all accounts.
The car is still driveable. Anyone else had the same?

Dragging on a bit now this 992 GTS release ....

I am genuinely tempted to jump to a 991.2 Targa GTS (from a Coupe), albeit very few around.
