How would you spec your 992 GTS?
Discussion
My last post was at the end of March when my OPC confirmed my May build slot and then I took a call this morning from them confirming the car rolls out of the factory on the 24th. So it all seems pretty much on track give or take a week. Not sure if further delays are either being ironed out at the factory or there will be an update before I pick up my car in the first week of June...either way no mention of it and the purpose was to start agreeing on a pick-up day.

Sounds positive and good to hear. SamL said:
My GTS is sitting at the port awaiting transport to the dealer. ETA is 20th to arrive there. They won’t release it until it gets a software update :-(
Do you know if this software is ready to go, or is it something in development? Because if it's ready to deploy, then I can't see that taking too long at all (hours really). If it's something 'In Dev' then it can be an issue before our UK dealers get hold of the software, because who knows how long they will take to develop and test it before they're ready to roll it out.Schuey_911 said:

Sounded like it had only just been recognised and development was not started at the time.SamL said:

Right ok. I spoke to my dealer briefly about this, and although he wasn't able to give me much information, he did say it's quite a common thing to have software updates post production on cars before they are released, so this isn't the first and won't be the last. I suppose in many cases we just don't hear about them, and things happen behind the scenes. Hopefully this doesn't cause too much delay to you guys. The stop campaign is to be lifted w/c 16th when no doubt the updates will be run, so I'm assuming the updates could be as early as the 16th, but as late as the 20th, so they will still be not booking in collections at present until known.
I'm provisionally collecting mine on the Friday 20th, as I'm away most of the week anyway.

Are the updates over the air or plug it in?I'm provisionally collecting mine on the Friday 20th, as I'm away most of the week anyway.
