The thing I hate most is that I'll never get to drive one, let alone own one.
The interior would be dialled back a little if it were mine. I'd rather have a more basic look like the first Singers but that engine and the subtle aero work by Williams is simply stunning.
It's great to see this one being thoroughly spanked at Llandau and the surrounding roads and not just sat in a collection somewhere.

The cost/pricing argument is something separate… because you’re paying for a bespoke project.
It’s not a product.
Stunning and superb though it is, I think I'd rather have all the mechanical components shoehorned into a stock looking, (though carbon fibre) widebody 964 without any sort of rear wing :Some real treats in there…

Or a 993 RSR lookalike with a ducktail perhaps ...
Or maybe just go for the full on Rennsport look but with a beautifully trimmed RS Comfort/roadgoing interior :

I'd say that a Singer, while handsome and impressive, is never worth £2m. It ceases to be a vehicle and will become an asset someone somewhere can store and add to their portfolio. To be honest, since the prices of Singer vehicles increased from £250k, to £500k and now to £2m type of prices, I have become less and less interested in them. £2M buys an awful lot of amazing metal but this looks to be worth every penny.
They are stunning, amazingly engineered items but just, I don't know, leave me feeling cold on account of how unobtainable it is. Like the Chiron, I couldn't care less about it, and seems utterly pointless to me. That being said, if the Euromillions comes in tonight, I'll be on the blower to California!

I do admire the engineering and the attention to detail, but a look at the various Singers that have sold on Collecting Cars shows the majority have barely turned a wheel since being commissioned, though I’m pretty sure you could say the same about a lot of Ferraris too ...
The owners are of course free to do with them as they see fit, it just seems a waste to not enjoy what must be wonderful cars to drive without being overly ostentatious.

I’ve no doubt most of the owners have garages chock full of fantastic exotica, so the Singer whilst beautifully engineered and built, is neither the quickest, best looking or indeed sounding car in their collections.A bit like you I, if I had the disposable, I’d use a “standard” Singer or a DLS as a daily driver.
A bit like images of your filthy 997 Turbo and my 996 GT2/997 GT3, a Singer caked in Winter road sh*t would look very cool indeed.
the look is not really to my taste - I'd rather buy a Pagani (at that price point) with the overdone design work, seems more fitting / seems a bit chintzy on a 911 (not sure that is the right word) - it just does not seem "right" to me. The standard one looks much better to my eyes and would be the perfect daily car (although the prices on CC seem crazy to me).
I do love the tech aspects / attention to detail of the DLS though and if I was very rich, I would definitely buy one in a toned down spec to add to all the other cars [as I am sure it will be great to drive].
Will be interesting to see what the ph member, who has one on order will say about it once he gets to drive it

Watched that earlier, what an utterly beautiful piece of machinery.
Stupid money, which I can't get my head around, purely because if Porsche designed it for selling in numbers it would be 1/5th of the price, I do get low production numbers to gobble up development costs are why it is that, but then if I could afford it, I would.

But I'm sure for £2m they would change that for you.

Yeah, that has become a bit of a signature feature on them. But I'm sure for £2m they would change that for you.
It looks like it was styled according to a carriage clock Liberace might have commissioned for his nan, out of character with the rest of the car.
But on the whole it is a lovely, lovely thing. Must be getting as wide as a 992 at the rear?
I wonder when Harry M, Chris Harris and Henry Catchpole will get a go in it.

DLS Motor in a regular Singer body would really be something but if thats not available I'll have my DLS in mint green Mr Dickinson with base ball glove colour interior. Cream deviated stitching too. I agree about some of the chintzy comments but I'll live with the fussy details. Everything is important. Luv it. I'm sold
this one would do perfectly fine as a daily for me - do not need any of the more fancy stuff. At this price point it kind of makes sense, not much more than a 812 GTS or similar and would be less conspicuous as a daily.
