I’m two weeks into my Enterprise Volvo C60 rental. It’s beginning to feel quite comfy. Can I sue Porsche for premature ageing!?
Haha, good one!

My 4RS is now in the clear.

Porsche Guildford have been great!

They sent out a chap to check my centre lock part numbers and a few days later a new bulletin came out and my centre locks are fine!

Was back out at the weekend 😎

Quick update from the UK;

Got given a 992 Carerra GTS as a replacement vehicle on Friday 29th of November (fairly high spec car with only 50 miles on)

Was looking forward to getting some usage out of it but then had a call from OPC on the following Tuesday saying they had two sets of bolts arrive and wanted to get me in to fix.

Car was fixed Thursday and is now back on the road - maybe they wanted me out of their brand new car lol.

You are a very lucky man mate to be offered a GTS. I'm still in a Enterprise Mercedes E220d awaiting recall to Silverstone OPC on my 992.1 GTS! Completely different animal to the GTS but I'm actually quite enjoying the experience. Liking the Merc, so comfortable and powerful enough. Topped up with £70 worth of diesel before I went to Yorkshire 3 weeks ago, range showing 860+ miles. 240 mile round trip + various other driving round about and I've still not got down to 100 mile fuel range yet ;-)

Hi! I got the stop drive order on the 1st of November and they put me in a CLS300D from Enterprise, which I had for the month, so very similar situation to you - again ended up quite liking it, great fuel mileage and very smooth, 4matic was great in the couple of snow days we had recently too.

OPC called me to say I could stay in that car and get more compensation, or get reduced compensation and have a 911. Opted to have the 911 as thought it was more indicative of being compensated overall to have a like for like car. They had three cars in which I had a choice of; targa 4, 2GTS cab and 2GTS coupe. Opted for the coupe but as per original post only had it for less than a week before they fixed my car. Wondering if I would have gotten the call that quickly if I'd have stayed with the enterprise merc....

Good question.

Can people that have been offered compensation let us know what they've been offered, so we know where the negotiations will start.

50% less. So considering the cash amount differences vs the huge difference in car, I thought going for the car was better.

Thank you, what was the cash amount for the enterprise car? & was it on a daily, weekly or monthly scale?

My OPC have had 4 sets of nuts this week and managed to snag a set, car being picked up tomorrow. No discussion regarding compo yet, I'll be waiting until it's fixed to see what they come up with. 2024 turbo S, no loan car.

I dropped mine off at Bristol yesterday morning and had a voicemail earlier today saying it’s ready to collect

Picked mine up earlier from Bristol. They'll 'raise a case' for compensation with Porsche UK. No idea re timing/amount. He did say it would also vary depending on whether financed or not - I didn't respond - said look forward to hearing. They're keeping the old centre locks for now in case need to return for warranty purposes but will let me know if not, as I think it would make a nice paperweight

Thanks all for the updates,
Our car is getting collected on Wednesday next week, it should be coming back the same day with a bit of luck - that's what we've been told.
Compensation will be discussed after, apparently, a case gets put to Porsche head office on our behalf.

how can it be that cars with finance are getting a higher payout?????

Doesn’t necessarily mean that.
Might just be that cars on Porsche finance are handled/processed differently.
So the money comes off their deal vs ’cash pay out’ for cars not on Porsche finance.

Probably quicker and easier for them to solve.

That’s what I’m interested to hear. I have borrowed the money to buy my car from my own savings account, so am paying myself back every month, so effectively I’m my own bank. Now how do I draw up a loan agreement to myself!

If it costs £3500 to hire a Porsche 911 per week from Porsche themselves, it’ll be interesting to see how that’s reflected in the offers they make.

Worth pointing out and rightly so it didn't matter one jot whether the car was bought with cash pcpd/financed or with money lent from your granny the compensation payments were identical for those of us impacted during the 991.1 GT3 engine issues class action against Porsche.

The Service Supervisor at my OPC emailed me today saying they have received a couple of sets and these will be allocated to my car.

She intends on getting a tech out to my business premises next week to replace the centre locks!!

Fingers crossed this is the case as I was concerned about the car being transported and any potential damage (which would just be my luck)!!

No compensation is being offered in my market in Latin America...dealer has been pleasant and I expect centerlock replacement to be completed this week. However lack of any effort by Porsche here is especially irksome as we pay about US$100K over US and Euro prices. I may be going back to a MB GT car as the brand a importer have been more responsive on issues and even offered a free trip to an ice academy in Sweden next February.
