I’m waiting to see what Porsche offer, but if I’m being honest, this whole debacle has completely put me off the brand. This was a car that I aspired to owning, saved for years to get into, had posters of in my room back in the 80’s, but the reality of owning one is another story.
Totally agree. It's inconceivable for a major brand with the history of Porsche to treat 10,000 customers worldwide like this. It's not just 10,000 customers that they risk losing, most of them are passionate about cars and influence the purchases of friends. So short sighted.RichT001 said:

Same here pal. Waited for 37 years for one, then told to not drive it within a month! Must say, now I have my car back however, I do absolutely love it. Looking forward to putting it all behind me. I have an offer of compo from my dealer which is low. They are a bit apologetic but say it is driven by the guidelines supplied from GB and I need to make my case with them for more. Watch this space.
I am in my second offer. Interested to compare notes 🎶 f you want to pm me. av185 said:
Weather looks horrific tomorrow and Weds anyway storms heavy rain and gusty winds.
Thurs Friday look nice if cold before the snows arrive.
Took mine out for a final blast today on unsalted roads before sorning tomorrow for Jan Feb.
There’s no snow forecast here in Surrey (which means it will definitely snow!), but I’m taxing the car tomorrow anyway, as I NEED to drive it very soon!Thurs Friday look nice if cold before the snows arrive.

Hi, I have been given a 911T loaner from W London & whilst I have been told Porsche will cover any costs incurred, despite asking about compensation, nothing has been heard. Would be v interested to hear what offers you have received. Best, RobEGPD said:

Can't you share you're experience with customer service/opc regarding compensation offers ? surely puts everyone affected in a better position going forward, whole point of the thread i would have thoughtsamnic1085 said:

There’s so many variables, everyone’s offers will be different. I don’t think it would be fair to publish the offers on here, as it would cause more confusion than it’s worth.RichT001 said:

If I were Porsche and believed that any "generous" offer made could possibly be publicised and potentially used as a precedent to create further argument, then I could only make a very cautious offer.

Exactly. For those receiving offers, do your homework, and make a counter offer, if you’re not happy with their first offer. All the info is out there. They are between a rock and a hard place. Is this hard to understand ?
I think Porsche are making this far more complicated than it needs to be.
I purchased my new 992.1 C4 GTS on Wednesday 9th October 2024. On Wednesday 30th October (exactly 3 weeks later), I was contacted and told to stop driving the car. I accepted a loan Macan and it was delivered on Friday 1st November. My GTS was fixed on Friday 20th December.
I was therefore without my GTS for 51 days.
Simply pay me for those 51 days without my car (which is financed by the way), taking into account I had a Macan. If I was offered a 911 loan car I’d obviously expect less daily compensation.
My GTS is a daily.
Whether financed or not, tucked away for the winter or a daily, just make a generous daily compensation offer to all who have been affected.

An update:
I personally don't mind sharing what Porsche has offered us I understand why people may not want to but I would personally find it helpful.
I have received an offer of £1000. My car is a MY24 C4 GTS, not financed (they didn't ask if it was financed).
The car was off the road from 28/10 to 18/12 (50 days) and we did have a loan Macan during this time.
I think this is a bit low offer, I was expecting more in the region of £1500. They are offering £20 for each day I couldn't use it.
If anyone else would like to share their offer that would be appreciated.
