PCNA Centrelock recall

Porsche didn't seem too perturbed 10 years ago when we went for the 991 GT3 class action.
Ditto the 'bad' Press publicity a year later following the 981 GT4 OPC deposit 'scandal'.
A bunch of Porsche owners moaning that they didn't have their cars for a month, whilst being given a hire car and money is hardly going to create any public sympathy or be a PR disaster.Ditto the 'bad' Press publicity a year later following the 981 GT4 OPC deposit 'scandal'.

Getting people together to launch a class action would not be difficult given low compensation.
The threat of the publicity on Porsche of that must have some impact and risks for them turning a mess into a s@&& show.
Only if ( in the UK at least ) you could also find a Solicitor / Barrister that is prepared to work for a no win no fee basis otherwise the cost of putting together any class action probably wouldn't be mitigated by the recovery quantum and that's even assuming you win !The threat of the publicity on Porsche of that must have some impact and risks for them turning a mess into a s@&& show.
This is a recall at the end of the day and Porsche appeared to have acted quickly in getting it generally resolved.
It is hardly a sh*t show and even it if were Porsche will probably view this as good publicity anyway.
For those with Finance I can see why they might want some compensation and for those that paid with cash they could also try the claim of "opportunity lost " cost ( tip, start with a relatively high annualized percentage multiplied by weeks banned from driving ) but talk of depreciation being added is a non starter unless you happened to be selling your car during those weeks it was off the road and even then you will struggle.
The value of your car fixed today is the same as it was prior to any recall notice being given out less any market movement if applicable.

And with Porsche being masters of marketing as they are they will likely turn it round to a PR triumph as happened with the 2015 981 GT4 deposit stories in the Press.
Clearly not one of my better ideas then!
The cars are expensive. The cost of ownership of no depreciation is well over £1k per month. I am surprised everyone is so relaxed about it but if £1k floats you boat then happy days.
I have centre locks but a not impacted. If I was £1k would not be ok !

I guess some weren’t using their cars anyway so any money would be a win. The cars are expensive. The cost of ownership of no depreciation is well over £1k per month. I am surprised everyone is so relaxed about it but if £1k floats you boat then happy days.

My 997 was affected by the then centre lock issue but there was no ban on driving it so it just meant a drive to the dealer - I didn’t ask for petrol money - perhaps I should have done ?!
I think for anyone affected the cost of finance payments for the time off road is not unreasonable. and as I said previously if not financed then use a decent rate of interest on perhaps opportunity cost of said money.

Mine being picked up end of next week. Has anyone had any issues with flat spots, with the car being stationary for so long?
OMG - did they take 5 years to change your center-locks then?Seriously, most GT3/RSs with centrelocks spend months at a time stationary in almost every owners garage every winter. And what about the stationary cars in showrooms all over the country.
