Hi All,
My clutch appears to be getting heavier by the day, car covered 43k miles and I have driven 10k in 10 months, so thinking I should bite the bullet soon. Does anyone know if it is standard practice to change the gearbox oil when having the clutch replaced? How often do others have their engine oil and filter changed plus coolant system flushed and replaced?
James.

Its a simple enough job to change the gearbox oil in situ so you needn't wait for a clutch change.

It is generally recommended by those in the know that you change the engine oil and filter every year. Coolant is usually done on a major so every four years.

Gearbox oil is spec'd for changing at 10years/96,000 miles (or used to be, check your manual) and most don't actually get done even then, but it's dead cheap (£100?) so no bad thing to do it sooner.
