See plenty of extracting something else!
I am the proud owner of the Shark Blue car with the blue stripe.
I always regard cars as a bit of fun and never to be taken too
seriously. Next month I might try something else.
As for it being a mistake, well fair enough, in others eyes
that might be the case.
But the car as a whole makes me and boys smile.
And that's good enough for me.

Didn’t mean to offend, thought they may of stuck the wrong colour blue stripe on by mistake!I always regard cars as a bit of fun and never to be taken too

My gt4 was shark blue, my 8 year old boy loved the colour and also picked the Aurum wheels, he said when we ordered it dad let’s have them as I’ve never seen a car with gold wheels at the that point I knew the only option was gold wheels 🤣
He picked the yellow stitching too!
Lift was one of the first options I ticked. It is as loud as people say but not unbearably so under the 6k revs I limit it to until I've run it in. One thing I hate on the 992 are the recessed handles, the ones on the 718 are proper ones and far more intuitive to use.
The 4RS feels like its hard wired into your nervous system like no other modern Porsche I've driven. Its really brought out the little boy in me. Have already taken out my son, daughter and my daughter's boyfriend and all three agree its the most fun and involving Porsche they've been in.
If its possible to fall in love with a motor car this is the one I'm totally infatuated with. How Porsche have managed to get this approved for road use by the Euro noice police is beyond me !

Interesting you say the front feels like it’s from a different platform, I was told the 4rs uses the 992 4s front tub to allow front suspension changes.
991 4S front tub/ same as 991 GT …. Primarily to accommodate front lift.
I wonder if the 991s 4s tub adds to the feel over a standard cayman tub.
Clever buggers these porsche engineers, mixing and matching parts to create an even better car.

Agree on the handles, I’m not a big fan of this new recessed handle design either. The 4RS feels like its hard wired into your nervous system like no other modern Porsche I've driven. Feel will come from the fact the car has all solid bushes/mounts instead of rubber bushes. Just more precision and directness, without deflection or absorption, in the rubber. I wonder if the 991s 4s tub adds to the feel over a standard cayman tub.

I’ve seen your car Shane (gt4rs) and love it with the plate as well. In fact I may have seen another of your cars at hursts C& C on Saturday. Also been in your yard many times with my partner and her horse. Next time I’ll come looking you to get a nosey at your collection lol. Good luck with your beautiful car and I wish you good health to driveI always regard cars as a bit of fun and never to be taken too

I did it that way so the stripe carried over
the length of the car.

I think GT silver is the best colour for it but I went Black because my GT4 is GT Silver and I wanted a contrast in the garage.
How do you rate yours ?
I pretty much agree with all your findings and just think it really hits the spot as an exciting interactive modern driving Porsche. If you want 'the noise; it's on tap at any time, but equally if you don't want it then ease off a bit and it's not bad at all. I actually find the tyre noise louder than the engine below 4k, partly down to cold hard Cups on less than ideal road surfaces I guess. How do you rate yours ?
Lower gearing means it's not going to be a great motorway cruiser, but it wasn't designed to be, no problem. You can tell with this engine it's a bit of a hooligan car just eager to get off it's run in leash !!
I'm up to 500 miles now, have a trip to CG planned in May when back in the UK, so that'll get me nicely past the run in period.
I've also got a 996 K400 GT3 which is pretty uncompromising on the road as regards any refinement etc, it'll be interesting to do a proper comparison between the 2 cars in due course. Initial thoughts are the 4RS is more refined and easier to drive on the road, the engine noise might actually be quite close, I really can't wait to hear this very free revving 4RS engine at 9k for the first time though.

Resale is only relevant when I want to sell it - which I don't at present. It will be worth what someone is willing to pay me for it when I do, that might be over list price or under it, but either way I will extracted the value from it in terms of enjoyment and ownership experience.

The deal was, it goes back, I get what I want in the future. Anyone who lives on or is familiar with the Isle of Man might understand the lack of use over Winter...

See plenty of extracting something else!
Maybe his heart was really set on a 992 GT3RS ? ... or maybe even the next "badge" car that may be moved along the gravy train before it is even run-in ??
If I were offered the chance would I really say no ? Some dealers really are pretty awful ....
Respect to those who really drive them and take the chance on future value !!
P.S. Yes this does really really really irritate me
