My previous Boxster was a 2012 981s in GT Silver with red roof and red leather. I loved it.
When I was configuring my Boxster GTS4, my daughter really wanted me to get Python Green. I was keen, but bottled and ended up getting GT Silver again, with black wheels and full GTS interior with red stitching and dial. It's different enough from my last one and feels very special. I love it.
I drove a Cayman GTS4 in Python Green for my Experience day a few months ago. Looked super, but feel I made the right decision.

I placed my order early Feb but no allocation yet. Has anyone received a build slot who has ordered after Feb?
I had a July 21 order for Boxster GTS which I cancelled in mid February when it became clear that I would be lucky to receive the car this year. That was before Ukraine etc so I doubt the situation has gotten better, although from what I’ve read Caymans seem to be in better supply than Boxsters.P. ONeill said:
Anyone else with standard steel discs on their GTS finding they need to really work the pedal to get some stopping power? The initial travel does little to nothing, maybe I’m used to PCCBs but the steels are not up to it. Would an upgraded perhaps GT3 master cylinder help?
Maybe get them bled? I had to get the brakes bled at a specialist soon after I picked the car up (981s) as they were shocking. After that, they were really very, very good. I found that there was plenty of feel but you did have to push harder than certainly anything I've driven other than an Elise, and there did appear to be a little bit of dead travel at the top which is something I've felt on other Porsche cars.Dan

Love the look of that Aventurine Green. I have mine on order but no build slot yet, still deciding on what colour to go for?But reason for my posting is that I see you have photo at Staffordshire Car Care. What did you have done and were you pleased with their work. I have a quote from them and was intending to use them when I get mine. Plan for me was front extended PPF and ceramic elsewhere, including wheels.
They seem to get excellent reviews.
I put a deposit down in Nov 21 and been having updates that there were no updates. However, got an e-mail this morning with a system screen shot which states 'Vehicle Fixed in Production' 24/6/22 and 'Entry to Dealership' 12/8/22. Most positive info to date but assuming that this could still move about a bit.

You have a build slot, that is good progress update. It might move few days but your car in on Prod schedule, which is far better than being told you are #1… 100th in a queue :-)cammy71 said:

Yep. Staffs did an excellent job and this is my second Porsche done there. I had full front PPF with rocker panels. Then ceramic on the rest of the paintwork, wheels, calipers and all the exterior plastics coated with Gyeon trim. But reason for my posting is that I see you have photo at Staffordshire Car Care. Craig and Greg are brilliant.
Its a Cayman. And just another piece of info. I had wanted to make a minor change to my order, literally changing the colour of the Sports Chrono clock. However, as I had a build slot, OPC said no problem but to please be aware that due to current process and factory situation that making any change at this stage whilst having a build slot could result in a 6 month delay as punted back down the pecking order. So for those who are havering over spec, once you press the button you can only change up until you have build slot or risk a further delay to delivery.

That is very interesting development. Normally I am able to finalize the spec after I get a build slot.Swapped my Boxster order for a Cayman on the weekend, and had a call today with a build slot for December so Cayman’s are certainly easier to come by. I made the swap as i bought a 981 Boxster GTS recently and that’s filled my convertible needs so the coupe is a nice addition.
To add to the comment above, i queried the point about amending the spec and was told i was fine to do so and it wouldn’t affect anything on my build slot, so must be an OPC thing.
My Cayman GTS spec is a bit funky, don’t like the GTS pack and wanted some custom stitching and a few interior mods so this is the current thinking http://www.porsche-code.com/PP6XRES7
Have asked for a price to spec the Race-tex steering wheel back in, as i’d like that option.

However, got a call this week with a build slot of mid October 22 and a delivery of early December, which is a nice Christmas pressie I suppose.
Tldr I suspect my OPC is a cock tease.
Here’s my final spec. http://www.porsche-code.com/PPTPG5A4
