I’m in the minority on this one but the basic seats I think are the best. Like the fact I can adjust fore/aft really quickly and they are very comfortable.

I don't think you are.
My original spec had the standard 2 way which I and most on here would prefer, but my cancellation car is optioned with 18 ways. I am just hoping at 5'11" I can get enough reach and depth. I don't have my current 981 seats fully back or lowered so should be okay

I have the 18 way in my current 981 Cayman. I’m 6’0” and I fit well, but the seat is pretty much all the way back. I’ve optioned the same on my (who knows whether it will be made) BTGS on order.

Great thanks.
When did you order yours?
What spec?

Ordered last July from Swindon for notional delivery Q1 next year. Spec is completely over the top but it’s my retirement present to me. Code here if you’re interested PP7N8H36.

Definitely not a minority of one. I also like the 2-way seats best for everyday use, and will be speccing them for my GTS 4.0 when the time comes. I think I probably prefer the narrow bolster seats in the base models, but either way, they both come with Alcantara centres, which I also prefer to full leather.

Out of interest, have either of you received your Porsche Driving Experience day for you current purchases?
Mine came through a good few weeks ago. Ordered the car in September if I remember right, and I think invites for the "Precision" course I had booked in a GT4 I already have, and the 1/2 day PEC day in the GTS 4.0 both came within 24 hours of each other in February. I haven't booked the latter yet, as I want to wait until I have a better idea of when I might get a build allocation.

Evidently my Cayman GTS is arriving today - waiting for the OPC to send me a video!

After PDI and dashcam it is being sent straight off for PPF & Ceramic so won't be able to collect until later next week which may mean after Easter as not sure I want to travel up and down the length of the country on a Easter holiday weekend.

They have also confirmed they will organise the experience day for me. I keep asking about at GT4RS allocation but they keep telling me I have a great sense of humour biggrin.

FINALLY!!! After being built back in September then stuck in Germany at Porsches compound in Kornwestheim for 5 months! I collected my car on Friday. Still no explanation from Porsche why the car was stuck for so long. However I am very happy with my choices especially the carbon bucket seats (and GT4RS PDK shifter) cool

Brilliant, delighted for you and I admire your patience!

At least you'll avoid the tax rises too, which is a small mercy.

Wishing you many happy miles together.

That looks amazing and some patience you had as well !
Well done on spec’ing the buckets as well - a rare item on the GTS.

Also looks like a £4600 increase in base price and a bump on all options.

Loss of deviated stitching options as well by the look of it.

I’m really disappointed- my spec is now ruined due to unavailable bits and I’m being asked to pay a lot more for less.

Having waited since march 22 and no allocation on the horizon I’m wondering about what to do.

Do I just draw a line under it and get a z4 m40i which I could buy today for 30k less? The pantomime of allocations over the last year just feels like a real p-take now. A used gts is likely to be silly now for nearly new and over list which would stick in my throat.

Can't really add any decent pictures of mine at the moment as just have the dealer video - I am not collecting until after Easter as off to have PPF & Ceramic applied and then we are into the Easter weekend.

Anyway here's a couple of captures from the video!

Gone for the luxury interior of PDK, GTS Interior pack, Burmester and most of the comfort/interior options. Not sure you can see the PCCB's under the Turbo alloys. Given the extras package it is going to have to be a keeper for a while!
