goto track day after all this is over and ask Chris W or TDT for a go in the 981's it will shock you. and you might then realise how held back and unexciting the current 2 GT4 models are over 2 tuned one driven well, over having a hand shandy saying how much better the 718 chassis is FFS.
The fun is in the journey and that's why throughout the development of my car I've always taken driver tuition. I love giving passenger rides and sharing the experience of what is now MY GT4 with others. I can say being a few years ahead of TDT that I greatly admire the way that he has grasped the vision of what he and his car can be. There is also an element of risk management ... There are others who have gone the Radical route ... too brave for me but I loved my passenger ride

If at any stage this stops being fun, stop it. But nobody should be making the fun from others ... IMHO.
The 718GT4 is a very very good car. I would like to believe that my modified 981 GT4 is better, but the fact now is that Porsche don't really want to know me.
Why ? Because they want to / need to sell new cars. How much are they investing in Taycan ?
The fact that this is a nonsense of an electric car (I own a 2014 BMW i3) is another matter of opinion

As a huge GT4 fan, and someone who comes on this thread purely to fantasise about owning one someday, can I say a big 'please' to join you on a passenger ride if our paths ever cross at a trackday!I'm usually at Snetterton in the 'GT4' of the fwd hot hatch world, aka a Clio 200... oh and I'll happily give you a passenger ride, however unimpressive it may be after being in the Porker haha!
Cheers,
Tom

That's a deal ... Snetterton is not my best ... corner 1 is much faster than it seems and it takes time to get your head around ... but happy to try
Regarding the Clio, I had a 16v in the day, 205 1.9, Escort RS Turbo, Clio Trophy ... and curently a yaris GRMN which has done 2:12 at Oulton ...
When ? We must be patient ... !!

Awesome, can't bloody wait!
Yeah, Snetterton isn't as simple as it looks on paper, and you definitely need some some cojones to extract the maximum from turn 1! Last time I was there, Lotus On Track were running some sessions, I was amazed at the speed some of the Exiges were taking into that corner. I imagine your car can carry some serious speed round Coram?
Serious collection of metal in that list, very nice! I think all of them are now classics so you pick well. Big fan of the sporty Yaris.... have you seen the new GR-4 due later this year? Very tempting to put an order in for one of those.
My last car was a 987.1 Cayman, so I seem to be going in the wrong direction haha.
I guess (hope) track days will start up again in June/July, so maybe I can send you a PM and we can see if any of our dates match, although I can pretty much go to any date as I live 40 mins away, and have a flexible job when it comes to taking days off.

I would suggest watching for a date and posting here to build following ?
I am a member of the Lotus LOT ... the car comes in nicely under the noise limit and there's a good place to stay just down the road ... they have even built a petrol station adjacent to the circuit ... I nearly ran-out of fuel last time I was there as the on-circuit tank ran dry !!
It was 30 miles to the nearest Shell station and the car was showing zero miles when I got there ....
Coram is a corner that destroys a lot of engines due to oil surge ... it seems to go on forever ...

Surely the warranty is transferable on the chassis if it a Porsche OPC product?
The below is my experience, so may not apply in thsi case (white Gt4) same warranty product name on the same make of car.I bought a Porsche last year (privately) that had previously been sold by a non-Porsche dealership, it came with a 'platinum warranty'.
The warranty was from “The Warranty group’ now owned by Assurant (multi-billion $ global business), the product is used by many dealer groups, in my case, I think it was a Lexus dealership.
Cost to transfer was 2 emails and a £25 admin fee.

Looks to be great spec.https://www.ashgood.co.uk/vehicle-details/Used-Por...
If SOR, I guess the owner will be getting around £61k.
600 miles in 4 years, wondered if it has its 2 services, seem a real waste (lost out on the enjoyment of driving it and still lost chunk of money).
