Couple of weeks ago a 1 owner 1k 2023 CS at an OPC went for £87k! Also there is a car on autotrader brand new pre registration delivery miles (25) that has fell from £103k to £89k. What about the Nogaro blue car that keeps moving around what currently £96k imo needs to be low 90s to sellkmpowell said:
I did this exercise this time last year, so I've repeated it for current (Sept '24):
Total OPC market: (% v the Total OPC market )
Manual - 12 (50%)
PDK - 12 (50%)
Manual + Buckets - 6 (25%)
PDK + Buckets - 5 (20%)
Manual + CS - 3 (12.5%)
PDK + CS - 3 (12.5%)
Manual + PCCB - 3 (12.5%)
PDK + PCCB - 5 (20%)

PDK + Buckets + CS - 3 (12.5%)
Manual + Buckets + CS + PCCB - 3 (12.5%)
PDK + Buckets + CS + PCCB - 1 (4%)
Then add market driven 'value' variances and time-available options etc etc
11 out of the 24 available cars have LED PDLS+
13 out of the 24 cars have BOSE
17 out of the 24 available cars have the extended leather/alcantara
21 out of 24 cars have Sport Chronograph
Then add gearbox availability v market availability:
1 2019 cars (1 Manual 0 PDK)
6 2020 cars (6 Manual, 0 PDK)
5 2021 cars (2 Manual, 3 PDK)
5 2022 cars (1 Manual, 4 PDK)
7 2023 cars (2 Manual, 5 PDK)

No worries. I had all the stuff setup from last year so it didn’t take me that long tbh. Thank you for sharing.
I think the reality is the same as it’s always been… if you aren’t bothered about spec or mileage, there’s plenty out there and they are “cheaper”, but once you start ticking the ‘must have’ options boxes, stock drops VERY quickly and prices rise. It’s the same outside the OPC network too, on the face of it there’s plenty of cars on AT etc, but if you want something specific, there really isn’t. Let’s not forget some of these cars are now 5yrs old, yet they are incredibly strong residually v their original list.

Absolutely correct, and the low mileage highly spec cars will get less and less. I think it’s easy to forget how long ago they started production. Checking back if I’m right the 718 GT4 MY21 was circa £75k for base manual. Worth remembering when looking at used values.
The article is right, but a bit of detail missing is the many small rises after it was £76,530. I ordered mine in Aug ‘21 (MY22) and the price was £76,530 base, by the time it had arrived in Jul ‘22 there had been several incremental price rises through winter ‘21 by Porsche due to inflation etc. Thankfully my OPC honoured my original order price as it didn’t cross MY.
+
Dealers not buying in stock as over stocked going in to winter with sales at all time low.
Current owners have nothing to trade up to so dealers not getting stock that way either unless trading for 4RS.
At the moment only pre 2021 cars have come to an end of 3 year PCP deals when less cars were built but next year more pdk cars will become available as 2022 build year PCP 3 year deals come to an end and those who no longer want or can afford hand the keys back.
Going forward good spec manual cars will be the harder of the 2 boxes to find

True but the 718 Gt4 is not a rare car but the 987 Spyder/CR are, and good cars are now hard to find but prices haven’t risen if anything they have reached their price point, but good low miles/ owner cars are at about 20% down on list and over time the 718 gt4 will follow the same trajectory. Which face it losing 20% over 10 years is damn good but the cost of ownership will be maintaining in tip top condition as the years roll by.

Just to find out whether it makes sense at all or whether anyone else would do it
Would you part exchange your 718 GT4 PDK with bucket seat, PDLS, interior leather and carbon package for another 718 PDK of the same year 2022 that has all the extras your have but in addition have PCCB, roll cage, and automatic climate control and has 4,490 less mileage but with one more previous owner, for £15,000.00 extra? Is this worth it all?
I must add the trade in prices for both on Motorway are almost the same

Looks an expensive change basically for clubsport and pccbs both of which may add in the region of just c£4k. Also factor in whether you really value these options yourself and their value for your intended main use of the car. I personally wouldn't pay more for a GT4 with pccbs over steels but some would. Also as the car ages these are seen as more expensive options relative to value with clearly higher maintenance costs than steels.
Basic aircon works just fine I've had both Spyders and GT4s with it as well as climate on these models but most buyers do want climate not basic aircon on used 718 GT4/Spyders.
Problem is you are paying retail for the CS car whereas they will effectively be giving you just trade price for yours hence the large £15k gap.

I'm not a knowledgeable member but it's a 'no' from me.
