I must be the only person that thinks it looks terrible. It'd only missing more chrome. leopard skin seat covers and window tints. Spinners optional
No you're not..

One good thing is it's limited edition so thank God there's not alot of chance of seeing them day to day.

Those wheels...hardly the statement that the 987 Spyder wheels were!
Anyone know what the wheel design references? Can’t find the 986 design link (and checked tequipment brochure).

That was my obvious thought, but these ones seem too triangular and straight lines to be a direct reference.

I've never seen those 986 concept car detailed photos before - I like the way they tried to remove the dash vents!

Wow, I really like that, especially in the white with the black interior! Add some folding mirrors, BOSE and Cruise and I'd very very happily take that as a weekends and holidays car.

“Numbers cars” are what hold their value as they are a proper factory limited edition rather than something like the themed 991.2 GTS’s Porsche GB sold a couple of years ago.

Will be very difficult to get one I imagine.

It's the price of a 718 Spyder - no question what I'd go for...

"Massively oversubscribed" I was told this morning so yes you're probably right, getting one will be very hard. Maybe even harder than a Spyder wink

As its essentially a GTS with different cloths and some key "extras" as standard I think it'll be heavily in demand just because its different, comparatively rare and not a GT/GTS but still has a 4.0 NA 6 pot. I find all that quite appealing smile

Does it have any chassis or engine bits which are either options or not available on the rest of the range? At least with the 986 550 you got a unique paint option and a power bump through a bigger airbox. Much of the rest was tequipment catalogue.

Not that keen on the gold highlights (too Wilmslow for my liking) but aside from that I think it looks great. Love the wheels

The recent Targa Heritage edition is something like £20k over list....I am sure a lot of people who missed out on them jumped on this. Let’s hope some of them go to people who want one for driving pleasure rather than what it’s worth.

I think I read somewhere that there will be two more 992 heritage editions, so possibly not. It would be interesting to get an insight into what type of buyers have bought them, have they been offered to people waiting for Spyder or Boxster GTS 4.0 build slots or to billy big balls who spends £0.5m+ a year with the OPC.

If i had a deposit down for a gts 4.0 i would have swapped for this ,but alas the allocation was taken up so quickly i doubt if i would have had the chance.
I think you need you be on Porsche's press release email so get at least a headstart than the people reading the mags

Oh the missed opportunities!!!

If only they would have done this with...
- Orange stripes across the bottom of the light lenses and orange side repeaters
- Red and orange tail lights
- The original 17" silver wheels and larger tyres
- No air con or PCM, just a radio and heater dials
- A manual hook on the roof
- And limited it to "launch" arctic sliver/basalt black cars with the original terracotta interior

I'd have been down to the OPC like a shot with a deposit!

Never mind, will just have to buy an old 986 for about £60k less then...
