Just a counter-point.
Stickers are very ‘marmite’. They do divide opinion and many don’t like them, myself included.
Reminiscent of the Halfords ‘go-faster’ stripes that boy racers used to stick on their cars.
Everyone knows it’s a Porsche, doesn’t need it blazened down the sides, and never seen a Porsche that looks better with stripes, (2.7RS the possible exception).
Just IMO, but I’m not the only one.
It's a personal thing I guess. I wasn't planning on putting anything on it until I saw a white Cayman with red decals whilst out and about and really liked the look of it. Still think it looks better 'in the flesh' then in any of the photo's above, and I guess if I don't like it I can always take them off again.Stickers are very ‘marmite’. If you're referring to "The Flying Carrot", then thank you!! Just wish I'd had the decals fitted in time for my last trip to the South of France in October 2019 where after breakfast I found its nearly inverse French number parked...
And that is indeed a stunning looking car! I really like the colour, and now I want an orange one! And the decals really suit it as well I think, great car!Upnorthgt3 said:
Grotesque - but it’s not my car so not my choice.I normally spec my cars with ‘Badge Delete’ - the less clutter the better.
The nice Porsche crest on the bonnet is sufficient. Although, I sometimes splash out on coloured wheel centre caps on neutral coloured car

Before. I really dislike solid black wheels so I had to do something...

Graphite Grey Cayman R style decals ordered from USA...
Sam from Cargraphics applying them at Ashgood Porsche - he didn't like the bits that go in front of the front wheels but I really like them!

Hopefully for the better! The car gets ridiculous amounts of attention. For the first week I loved the attention, then I grew to hate it. And after a while I grew to accept it - perhaps because I was using it as a daily and I figured out how to look unapproachable because seriously, everyone wants to talk to you about it. Little old ladies say they love the colour, and teenagers shout "rev it!". And then there are the times I return to it to see people photographing it or posing for a photo next to it! Anyway I've recently bought a barge for comfort and going back to feeling anonymous which I like. And it makes "The Carrot" feel more special when I do drive it.drjdog said:
I did the decals thing - I just like them, I think. I'd get a top of the windscreen sun strip with my name on it if I could.

Gold matte paint on the wheels? Nice! Any more pics?
It's bronze rather than gold. Anodic bronze in semi-matt, if I'm remembering correctly which would be new. The stickers are a close enough match. I also took the rear Cayman badge off and replaced it with a bronze decal because I was fed up with all the mould growing in and around it.I can't seem to find any more pictures, unfortunately.
