Do you think they will hold their money well?

In terms of spec, personally I couldn’t live with the red interior so if it materialises, it’ll be white with black interior and hood.

In my opinion i think the choice of colours available are all st! White and gold wheels, black and gold wheels, silver and gold wheels. Non of them combinations work? Who has gold wheels for god sake in 2021?

I've gone silver with the red interior, needs the link to the original concept in my opinion. I personally love the wheels, one of the reasons for going for a 25 over a standard GTS. Roll on September!

I've gone Silver/Black with a red roof and red seatbelts.

Still don't have a build date but decided I'm not going to think too much about it anymore and focus on more important stuff, life's too short to worry about another car.

I hope it’s 100 in the UK or I’ll definitely not get my allocation as I’m in the dealers second batch.

I hope Len is right about the values although I’m not convinced atm.

I’m definitely doing Silver, but beyond that I’m still vacillating. I started by cutting out all traces of the red, so black interior, black roof, which kind of complements the black windscreen surround, black callipers. Then decided I like the red roof still with the black interior, maybe throw in red belts and/or instruments. Recently, some of the latest images I have seen, the red looks much less bright than initially. Also, I saw a Cayenne with the red interior. But I still think it’s too much. I wish the top of the dash and steering wheel were black - I could live with that. You could change the steering wheel at about £1k.

I think the launch spec will probably hold its value best, although I’m not convinced that any spec is going to be an investment. I guess just slower depreciation than a vanilla GTS.

The only silver lining about not having my build dates yet is that I might get a chance to see one in the uk in the flesh before lockdown of my spec. I have my driving experience invite through now, and I heard from my SA that Silverstone and Swindon (and other key, ‘close to Porsche uk’) dealers are the ones that have had their build dates - so I might see one there.

I did pop in to my OPC last week to do a comparison of GT Silver and Carrera White as we weren't sure between the 2 and that definitely confirmed GT Silver as our choice out of the 3 available colours. I had a Black 987 Boxster for 8 years and while I loved it when it was clean it never staid clean for very long and don't want to go there again. As far as our order goes it was re-confirmed we've got a slot but no commission number as yet and no solid views on when that might happen.

I have my PEC invite for the 25 Edition (although the invite is for a GTS) which we've booked for early August and I'm also taking that as a positive step towards getting the car. And if it doesn't happen we'll enjoy the free breakfast, lunch and some laughs on the course.

I think the combination of Covid, Con-rod issues and shortage of microchips has thrown a bit of a grenade into the Porsche production planning machine and its probably taking some time to work out what they can and can't do and then aligning that to all the orders waiting to be processed. The only glimmer of hope for us is that it's called the 25 Edition so I'm sure they will want to deliver them this year or end up having to order a crate of new badges, sill covers and dash trims smile

Went for launch spec PDK, with a few bits like -20mm Pasm etc. Have to say one of the best handling road cars I have ever owned.

Lol,
I know what you mean, a while back I used to have a 86 930 Flatnose 330Bhp Sport in white with full Can Can Red trim, this car reminded me of that. Looking back think I wish I had gone for a Black car now, but would keep the Red trim.

Congratulations, I was wondering when (if) we would start to see these out in the wild and it's good to see that is now happening. The colours look a bit more subdued compared to the launch material but I guess that might be the light. Having said that I'm also glad I've not gone for the red interior but as they say each to their own.

Its interesting to hear your thoughts on handling, I think a lot of people see this as a marketing exercise rather than a GTS in drag especially with the red interior smile
