They are beautiful cars ... but I would imagine extremely expensive to backdate ...

It's a BMC and similar to the items Porsche Motorsport used on the early 996 Cup cars and Manthey on their K400 996.1 GT3 conversions ...

And very similar to the original spec ... where there were in some series a restrictor.

This is the road version:

And these are various race versions with factory first:

I was admiring this car at the Motorist Italian day recently. To my eyes it put all the Ferraris in the shade.

Tesla powered 911. As sacrilegious as it is, looks like a nice job done.

The cruelty being handed out to G bodies, 964 and 993 is off the scale. I genuinely can't believe there are people who buy these monstrosities. In 50 years they'll be returning them back to stock.
Completely agree. I often wonder how many ever sell!

I've said it before but it'll look the same as all those people spending daft money on Koenigs and Gemballas in the 1980s instead of hoovering up all those lovely cheap genuine RS'.

The notion that people or ruining an old 964 for more than the price of any Mezger GT3 apart from maybe the 4.0 (and sometimes more than even that!) is insane.

The emperors new clothes. Again.

I also like something like this, a Modified Euro 1979 Porsche 930 Turbo

so buy a nice 930 turbo and modify it a bit 'older' not a fan though of sticking that turbo under the rear, but I guess thats because the bumper is short-ish ala ST look?

could also be nice to buy an old tired (more cheap) 930 Turbo and backdate or give it a RS look and then restomod it, new RS light interior style, short sporty bumpers, good suspension and maybe get a GT3 engine in? or a tuned 3.8 around 350+ ps would be nice.

so nice if you have extra space at home and of course the money to do such.

993 backdate. TBF it does look like a quality build but at 399k a bit of Cheshire tax has been applied!!
