Collected new 600LT Spider from those helpful people at McL Hatfield. Great deal on one of the last spiders they had and with a nice spec.

So far, 250 miles in, nothing has fallen off or gone wrong - apart from a slight squeak from the rear window (solved by opening it all the time to listen to the exhaust!) and one time it couldn’t find the key to start the car for about 10 seconds. I’m hoping this is a sign of things to come because otherwise, first impressions are that the car is absolutely brilliant. A real event to drive even at low speed, loving the steering feel and the conventional suspension. And the noise of the exhausts smile

Congrats Andrew, don’t think you’re on the LT Owners Whatsapp Group so feel free to send me a pm with your mobile.

What colour is it? Very nice...

As a fellow Porsche owner i still hugely admire McLaren cars..The way Porsche( VAG bean counters probably) is becoming very mainstream with the resulting loss in character and perceived desirability i can see opportunities for McLaren to pick up the gauntlet..
Looks amazing in Orange, nice change from the usual Blacks and Greys..How does it compare to your GT3 and GT2 RS..?

It felt to me like moving from a Golf R to a Subaru Impreza.

Or from a M4 to a 911 (the latter being a McLaren in these analogies).

Yes different game in terms of appeal, drama and character.

Epic congrats!

Make sure the key is placed in the cupholdery area - finds it much better than if its in your pocket.

When my 720 was new (May 18) I fairly often had the key not found issue since then I've had updates and service inc new key batteries and for the last 12 months it is extremely rare like 1/100 that I get it, key is always in my pocket - my point is faffing about having to put the key in the cupholder is probably not the real answer, but I'm not sure what is, maybe they fit st batteries at the factory and use better brand ones at service time or maybe the updates worked although I think the update/re-calibration magic is mostly bks.

Nice car BTW drink

Congratulations :-) enjoy and drive safe.

Regards the key not found issue - read while back that opposed to using the keyless entry & door button press & lift to open the door was to instead use double press of fob to click the drivers door open upon approach to vehicle (door pops up a little and is unlatched, then you simply lift the door to get in). Have not had any key not found errors since. I usually keep key in trouser pocket or in little storage pouch at front of seat base and not in cup holder area.

Great looking car smile
Have had no key problems with my new 570S Spider (so far), and have always had it in my pocket (for all of the 200 odd miles I've done so far)!

Looks gorgeous.

My key is always in my (left) pocket - don't think I've ever had key not found, but if I have it's been so rare I've forgotten about it. (And I always use keyless entry).

congrats. I also got sucked in by the same deal, so my first McLaren is coming in a few weeks. It's a black Spider. I was grinning like an idiot after the test drive, so that was decision made.

Congrats Andrew. Stunning car, and perfect colour and model. And solid choice of dealer too.

P.S. the key signal is strongest when it is in the tiny pocket in front of the driver's seat. (At least on 720S.) Mine has no issues with the key, but this might help some on here.

Congrats! Thought I remembered your moniker from the AM forum.

So, a Mac, a V12 Vantage, a Model S. Nice.....

Thank you. Yes, that has been my main haunt, V12V and Vanquish to be sold, keeping my manual S roadster. I bought a 355 a while back, so it’s pretty surprising that I’ve found myself going from all Aston to quite a mix now. Looking forward to years of trouble free motoring, right!?
