Bottom of the Bealach? Given the width of the road, you’re a brave man taking a 488 up there!

At Salon Príve today with the FOC. Weather was great albeit a little chilly.

Indeed. Brown is an ideal colour for your Austin Allegro. Doesn't suit your Ferrari 488 Spider so well.

The first 355 I ever saw was that metallic bronze colour and it certainly worked on that. However some cars can carry off a wider range of colours than others. Not sure on that 488 above though.

Had two brown Ferrari's,one 77 Vetroresina 308 GTB ,had red interior to make things even more controversial, Often wonder if it ever had a colour change ,sold it to Nick Cartwright ,wonder if he knows.
The second was a 308 GT4, Lived in the street in central London so paintwork not so good,
Drove it daily as it was , I know it had a colour change to retail red but not by me.

Look at that, how Frank Stephenson turned that beautiful shape into the 430 is beyond me.

Since there was only one 1977 UK 308 GTB vetroresina supplied new in brown, I assume that must be the car you refer to. If so, I believe it was changed to red and went to Thailand. There was one other that was a 1976 car but that is also now red and still in the UK.

I'd need more info on the GT4 to identify if you want to know more on what has become of it.

Another shot of my 612 - possibly my last as it will be on CC soon. Lovely v12 goodness in a gentleman's suit but there are other itches I'd like to scratch.

Thanks for the info,Yes that's probably the car. Not sure what red with red interior would look like unless they've retrimed it in another colour.
Sold the GT4 to a friend of mine and as it needed a repaint anyway he changed it to red,

At the time they were only worth a bag of tweets and didn't really matter about change of colour, now you would keep it original although not everybody's cup of tea i know.
Haven't got detalls of either car's chassis number wise but have got photo's somewhere that would show reg no's
Don't worry to much about the GT4 but very kind for you to offer.

You can see the likeness to his MP4-12C though.... well I’ve always thought you could...

I’ve seen the brown 70 edition 488 at DL Swindon. I actually liked it but that said I couldn’t own it.

I didn't in the end. It was raining heavily and the advice is that if you can't see the top, then don't attempt it. Plus, I had had a challenging experience on the very narrow road through Drumbeg to Lochinver a couple of days before. Here is another photo on a more suitable road.

See the brown 2018 Anniversary 488 Spider is going up for auction with Bonhams at Goodwood Speed Week .

Estimate £190k / £230k.
I assume it's the same car as there's no number plates on the above photo. Can't be two, can there.
