Awesome - enjoy it - I’d have bought a 458 spider were it not for the fact that I am tall with a bad back ... can’t move the seats far enough back for me . . Gutted ! Bring it to South Wales and give me a call for a blast ! Quite a few 458 and 488s round here and we often meet up
I don’t like the lines on the Spyder and you hide the engine. But each to their own smile

Yes that’s true and it is a real shame to hide the engine but I like getting the roof off a car

It’s arrived. Absolutely sensational. Very overwhelming.

The tints are no where near as dark as they look in pictures.

If you don’t like the tints, with sincere due respect meant, it’s your problem not mine.

Just taking it all in before going for a drive shortly.

Take a picture form the drivers seat looking out the windscreen so people can see that the view out is ok

As you can see, it’s very dangerous and there is a good chance , due to the severe restriction of viability, that I may crash and kill myself.

Car looks great by the way, congrats.

Can’t win lmao

Tints as proven are fine. No angles. What’s more dangerous are the numerous drivers recording the car while driving. Mad !!

Enjoying the sun today. It drives so well.

I'd hoped it wouldn't need stating, but the risk is not in light conditions where your eyes are capable of compensating for the lack of light coming through the screen, but in situations where the light is already at low intensity (night/dusk/dawn). A better comparison would be the same view through the windscreen taken at 10pm tonight vs the same view taken from outside the car.

The legal limits are a minimum of 75% transmissivity for the windscreen, and 70% for the front side windows. You stated earlier that you'd gone for 35% transmissivity for the screen, and 15% for the side windows.

Looks fine to be honest but are they legal. I'm curious not judgemental by the way

This just shows how dangerous they are. I can see atleast 2 toddlers and 1 rabbit you’re obviously about to plough down with no regard to the law biglaugh

Tintgate is getting really boring now if it really is an issue the traffic cops in Yorkshire are well known for their keenness and will deal with it accordingly if they see it as an issue!

For me, it’s a bit like drink driving. No tint/drink is obviously best and anything over that is going to be detrimental and at some point it becomes illegal. I have no time for people who think the law doesn’t apply to them so hope the law is fully enforced if broken.

Mine are 15% on the side and no issues. Maybe get 25% if you want them a bit lighter. I like the look I have.

Windscreen was 35%

Don’t do the rear. It already has a 75% tint and looks great. Save the cash.

This entire thread is boring. I’ve asked for it to be taken down. Bunch of moaning know it all’, keyboard warriors on here.

Half of them don’t even own a Ferrari lmao.

The entire thing has being blown WAY out of proportion.

Anyhow. Enjoy your sad moaning while I enjoy the car.

Rules are there to be broken. Enjoy your straight and narrow life. Sounds fun.

I own one and I think the tints on your car look rubbish but each to their own.

You need to take the rough with the smooth on here. You enjoyed the attention and the compliments as the car was getting prepped and delivered and then (in the perfectly valid) opinion of some, went too far with the tints.

Asking for the thread to be taken down just looks like you can’t deal with people that don’t agree with you.

Enjoy the car, they are proper bits of kit.

Hopefully we can now move on form the whole tinting issue as he can clearly see out the front windscreen
To the OP now just go and enjoy it. If you ver make it up to Scotland pop in past Aberdeen I can show you some nice quiet scenic roads where you can enjoy that car scream

Really like the car Adam, must be nice having one in such good condition also

One thing with the windscreen tint, it may appear fine to see through, but one thing that would concern me if it were my car, would be if an accident were to occur and the insurance use the illegal (if it is?) front tint to invalidate the policy.

I Wouldn’t like a non payout on this car, finance or not, that said it’s your car to do as you please.

One thing though, that car cover! I’d be leaving it off, risk scratching your paint in the wind

I own two, so that makes up for someone who doesn't own one, and I think the tints look absolutely dogst, cheapen the car, and diminish your ability to see at dusk.

This is a forum. You post pics, people post opinions. It won't be an endless stream of praise for your amazing taste.
