F8 Spider Specification
Discussion
Thanks for all the replies, and Jackal your feedback about lift, JBL and Carbon is much appreciated.
Will head up to HR Owen in next couple of months to lock spec in, might be a few changes based on this.
Not fussed about Carbon engine bay, but can appreciate some might.
Pass display is as much for my eldest son as anything else -
Daft really but I know he’ll get a kick out of it.
Sounds like I need the JBL...

With a bit of time left to lock spec in for my F8 Spider;
Nero
Crema
Daytona Carbon Racing Seats with Lift
Shields
Sports Exhaust
Carbon Bridge, Dash Inserts & Steering Wheel
Yellow Rev Counter
Apple CarPlay
Rear Camera & Front Sensors
Passenger Display
20’ Dark Painted Rims
Any essentials missing?
Thoughts are we don’t need lift, and JBL system not worth it.
Decent deal, should be here just in time for the clocks to go back.
I don't see painted calipers on your spec sheet. You'll definitely want to spec them as the unpainted ones are pig ugly and lose their colour over time.Nero

Thanks. I think yellow calipers will really complement the shields and rev counter.
May I also suggest (if you aren’t doing it already) Nero contrast stitching and stitched cavallinos on the headrests. Contrast stitching really lifts the interior and will key nicely with the carbon and black theme.

I have an F8 Spider on order, blu corsa with black/crema inside.
Each to their own of course, but I saw a Nero car at the National Ferrari day and it looked awful. At the back, you have the black paint, the black diffuser, the black air vents, the black gills on the engine lid, none of which matched. It was also showing ever mark. My red 488 was a bit grubby in the assembled company but it wears it better. If you are going for Nero, you definitely do not want the bonnet collar. I looked closely at it and it was poorly done and it makes PPF more difficult. I’ve deleted it from my car so the whole bonnet is body colour.
The 488 stereo is so bad I went for the JBL. For me, Apple Car Play and passenger display are a waste of time. The front lift depends entirely where you drive. Speed bumps, garage thresholds, odd camber changes, all ready to scuff the car’s underside. I drove over a speed bump in Cambridge with the car raised. The nose escaped and it was still caught between the wheels.
I’ve gone for black tachometer, I have red in my 488 and don’t like it over much. Carbon race seats are good, I am tall in my upper body so no lifter, seat sits lower without it.
Exterior carbon down to preference so I’ve added one or two bits. The bonnet vent without it looks very cheap as does the B pillar.
Hoping for July production, VIN number allocated in MyFerrari,

By the way, what you are listing as sports exhausts are just Matt tips. Saves cleaning them. Does not affect the sound.
Agree you need painted callipers, I went for yellow to match the wheel centres and the scud shields.
The F8 racing seats come with grey panels on the squab and backrest which I have replaced with crema leather to match the rest of the seat and I’ve added a seat stripe and the horse to add interest.

For a new Ferrari model, nobody is really talking about it, there seems to be more interest in other cars
The F8 indeed seems to have slowly slipped past, but when its gone, there wont be another ICE only v8 mid-engine Ferrari sports car.Gassing Station | Ferrari V8 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
