Imagine opening a magazine and seeing a picture of yourself washing your car. And being slagged off for it.

I put the roof on the old man's one when I wash it... About the only time the roof gets used and you still have to be bloody careful otherwise a misplaced jet will go straight inside!

The roof is totally crap, the best solution is to have a 550 Maranello too IMHO hehe

Ha - excellent that the owner responded!!

To be fair to Tom though I think the owner has over reacted slightly. Tom Was hardly berating his cleaning technique, just mentioning the scant regard for the lack of roof and use of a presure washer combined.

rofl I can't imagine ever being in a situation where the car needs washing so badly that I can't wait until I get home!

Wow! That Ferrari roof is the worst eye sore I have ever seen on a car. You may as well just gaffer tape a bin bag over it. The end result may even look classier.

Amused to see this thread after a discussion earlier today (nice to meet you, Waugh-terfall wavey ).

On the subject of the naff Ferrari roof, did anyone else see this in the PH car park at today's Sunday Service:

I can - when the birds have left so many decorations you can't see it (because you parked near a bush with plenty of ripe fruit) or when you have driven across the country during winter and the salt/muck isn't being cleared by washers & wipers and headlights are less useful than candles

It's a tonneau cover, what's wrong with that?

Nothing, I just thought it relevant to the topic that's all.

I'm pretty sure the owner has got a little concerned about Ferraris spontaneously combusting, he's decided to take preventative action and fill the thing with water whilst out for a drive.

Verry sensible nice but dim chappie.
